    Secluded Experiments Guide

Only guide I have found so far.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...TbkJ0QlE#gid=0 Link for Units to send to each camp. Tried to compile it all here but it would be like 8 pages long. hope it helps

Ok for the incredibly insane who actually want to try this farce, myself included. I will post what I used to clear this thing.
Preamble: the camp numbers are from the above image. I used the lowest value losses (all R and B). I also used blocking but wont go into detail on those setups because frankly if you are high enough level to try this adventure, you know how to block and you should know how to set them up. I will list average loss (one number) with max losses being the maximum number of recruits, there is 0 chance of losing anything other then R and B. As always on multi wave camps, check your numbers for the latter waves, I recommend This site

    Troops I took along: ~5900 R 1300 B 100 M 250 C 250 S 250 X 50 E
    Estimated Losses: ~ 5835 R 1260 B (7095 total losses)
The numbers: Estimated XP / Loss 5.6. Estimated value of lost troops 8962 using the following values
    5835 Recruits * 1.29 = 7513
    1260 Bowman * 1.15 = 1449

listings look like this Camp # - enemies - troops - (avg losses) or for blocks Camp # - enemies - block troops

Enemy Shortcuts gu - Gunmen, sr - Saberrattlers, ct - Caltrop, po - Petty Officer, cc - Crazy Cook, ds - Deck Scrubbers, ub - Uproarious Bull

Zone 5 (camps 39, 40) camp 39 can be blocked, i did not.
    camp 39 100 ct 75 po send 144r 106s (132r)

    camp 27 3 cc 150 sr send 96r 153x 1e (86r)

    Zone 8 (camps 10, 11, 12, 13) skip 10, 11, 13
    camp 12 1cc 50 gu 100 po 50 ct send wave 1 - 70r (70r) wave 2 - 10r 190b (10r 190b) wave 3 - 143r 107s (138r)

    Zone 9 (camps 1, 2, 3) Skip 1
    camp 2 150 ct 100 po block 90m 50s 50e
    camp 3 100 po 1 cc 50 gu send wave 1 - 10r 190b (10r 190b) wave 2 - 143r 107s (138r)

    Zone 10 (camps 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52) Note, when attacking this zone you clear camps 47, 48, 49 then attack Zone 11 (camps 54, 55) before finishing camp 51 - skip 50, 52
    camp 47 50 ct 150 gu send wave 1 - 62r (62r) wave 2 - 250c (0)
    camp 49 (can possibly be blocked, I did not) 50 ct 100 po send 172r 78s (161r)
    camp 48 1 cc 50 gu 125 po send wave 1 - 50r 150b (50r 150b) wave 2 - 218r 32e (208r)
(at this point I went after zone 11 but I will list the rest of zone 10 first)
    camp 51 1 cc 50 ct 125 po send wave 1 - 250r (250r) wave 2 - 177r 23e (171r)

    Zone 11 (camps 53, 54, 55, 56) skip 53, 56 remember do this before camp 51 so you can skip 50 and 52
    camp 54 100 ds 100 sr send 39r 200c 10x 1e (36r)
    camp 55 75 gu 75 sr 2 ub send 19r 220c 10x 1e (17r)

At this point you can do either of the two remaining zones I did bottom right, so i called it zone 12
Zone 12 (camps 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63) skip 57 Blocking is possible (especially camp 59) but i was too lazy to work it out here
    camp 58 75 po 75 gu send 144r 106s (139r)
    camp 61 100 po send 140r 110s (135r)
    camp 62 200 gu send 250c (0)
    camp 59 200 sr send 66r 83c 100x 1 e (62r)
    camp 60 125 sr 50 po 2 ub send 38r 212c (35r)
There are many options for the next camp, including one that is potentially lower value losses, I chose the following due to resources i had available
    camp 63 125 po 50 gu 3 cc send wave 1 - 90r 100b (90r 100b) wave 2 - 75r 100b (75r 100b) wave 3 - 50r 150b (50r 150b) wave 4 - 200r 50s (190r)

Zone 13 (camps 14 thru 26) skip 17, 18, 19, 20 again, blocking is possible depending on what leader you take out last or simple blocking (16, 23)
    camp 14 110 po send 155r 95s (149r)
    camp 16 50 po 100 sr send 107r 143s (103r)
    camp 15 50 po 2 cc 50 gu send wave 1 - 165r (165r) wave 2 - 165r 85s (155r)
    camp 21 200 sr send 66r 83c 100x 1e (62r)
    camp 23 50 po 100 gu send 121r 129s (118r)
    camp 22 50 po 100 sr 2 cc send wave 1 - 139r (139r) wave 2 - 200r 50s (187r)
    camp 24 50 ct 150 gu send wave 1 62r (62r) 250c (0)
    camp 25 75 po 100 ct send 145r 105s (132r)
    camp 26 3cc 50 po 50 gu send wave 1 - 175r (175r) wave 2 - 165r (165r) wave 3 - 164r 86s (156r)

Now I list s most of the time, and those can be replaced with e (they do the same damage) but when e is specifically listed it is due to the possibility of losing an s, if that is the case redo the numbers in the sim for yourself. The block numbers can change if you have more then 50 E soldiers, which I do not. Generally speaking you look for an average of 6 or more rounds of combat to do a walk thru block.

I did this one for the sake of breaking up the monotony. Wouldn't do it again, except maybe to fully document the attack sequence & blocking setups. The one thing I found interesting is how garrisons are placed when you send them to the adventure. The primary landing zone is the upper NW corner of the map and the first five garrisons you send will land here. The next seven you send will land in the upper NE sector. After that, any additional garrisons are placed in the NW landing zone again. I used this to my advantage by sending the troop transports first to fill up the NW LZ. Then I sent the Veterans and a Tavern general to get them to land in NE LZ so I could attack the eastern side of the map from "behind."

My losses were a bit lower, 5030R, 1238B, but I see some other interesting attack vectors in the picture above.

Anyway, it's a challenging adventure that's wholly unworthy of the troops you'll lose, (from both an experience and loot perspective). But if you're tired of running the predictable ones all the time, then maybe this will break up the monotony for you like it did for me.

And if you're thinking, "Yeah, but I don't have 12 garrisons to send," remember that it's a 3-person adventure. If you coordinate properly, you'll be able to get the right garrisons to land wherever you want.
