Some way of telling how many of each building or resource has been built. I know when I first started I built lots of basics but as I progressed they became to expensive to build, I'd tear down some of the basics if I knew which ones I had in abundance. Then I could build more of the more expensive ones.

The economy overview lets you know your income of each resource and which buildings are contributing to the production and consumption.

economy overview icon is on bottom of screen, then click one of the headings to open it, click one of the items on the list, then click on the boxes in the chart and the buildings show up in the margin, tells how much they make and whats using it. Just keep clicking on stuff and you will see. If you click on a building it takes you to it on your island, so you know which one to delete or upgrade.
This will also show how much extra you make in 12 hrs for each item.
