PRO TIP: When attacking a camp make sure your general does not travel inside a red box (when you click on an enemy camp) if you do your General will attack that city on route to his destination.

Do Not Buff Your Fishers with Fish Plate!!!!! This is a myth and if you buff your fishers with fish plates, all you do is depleting your fishing pools with no benefits. Ok, here goes...
Fact #1: It takes 10 fish to produce a fish plate.
Fact #2: It takes 3 minutes for your fisher to catch 1 fish (I'm being generous here and not count travel time)
Fact #3: The fish plate buff last 30 minutes.
So, without the buff, your fisher produce 10 fish every 30 minutes, which is 1 fish plate. With the buff, your fisher produce 20 fish every 30 minutes, which is 2 fish plates. BUT YOU USED THAT EXTRA FISH PLATE ON YOUR FISHER ALREADY SO WHAT HAVE YOU GAINED? Nothing. You just depleted your pools for nothing! If you're now taking travel time into consideration, you're actually losing resources!
PRO TIP: Once stored, goods become globally accessible through any Storehouse.

It's tough to take into account traveling distance, so build your economy chain from the most basic out to the most advanced away from your store houses. Here's an example:
STORE HOUR => COKING PLANT => SMELTER => TOOL MAKER
Building your chain in that order ensures that you can follow the economy rations and not find yourself losing time due to lack of supply. It's also the best way to deal with estimating the transportation segment of the final production time.
The only time where you it's better not to follow this is if your storehouse is in an open clearing. Then, putting the buildings directly around the store house allows for the same transportation time.

DO NOT buff your Fisher's UNLESS they are upgraded. In a perfect world, with a storehouse 1 pixel away from your Fisher and your Fisher right up against a fishing spot, you will make about 17 fish per hour.
UN BUFFED : 17.5 Fish per Hour
BUFFED: 17.5X2 = 35 Fish per Hour
Now lets do the math. It's costing you 20 fish per hour to make the fish plates to sustain the double buff for one hour. 35-20 = 15.
SO NET FISH PROFIT:
UNBUFFED: 17.5
BUFFED: 15
Don't buff your fishers. This is also in the perfect situation...a more accurate situation will net you -4 or so fish per cycle, or 8 per hour. Once you ugprade your fisher it may become worth it but at level 1,
DONT BUFF YOUR FISHERS!
When you upgrade buildings, start at the bottom of the production chain...copper mine before copper smelter...etc
Keep in mind some resources are shared amongst different workyards, if production of one resource appears slow, considering resting the other workyards sharing the same resource.
Pro Tip: Once you deplete your stone mine, destroy it and do another stone search. Your geologist should find the stone mine at the same spot and replenish.
Pro Tip: its a military game, know that you will lose soldiers in all your battles, build your economy to make as many soldiers as possible. I recommend to either upgrade your bronze weapon smith making or make 2 of them as soon as possible.
Pro Tip: After the FIRST CAMP you destroy, wait and BUILD UP YOUR ARMY. The other camp are "Easy", but you can click on them and see they contain WAY more soldiers. Easy camps are not all equal.
Eat your broccoli (and fish plates).
When attacking camps... be sure to note the red boxes around each camp.. several overlap.. :(.. If your general crosses into another red camp you will fight those bandits!!
Also.... when placing your garrison take into account which bandit camps you want to attack first... A poorly placed garrison will be a real pain to work out... I learned the hard way...
It is important to place your buildings strategically. Not just for time and resource efficiency, but because you can not move them later. So if you want your empire to look a certain way, plan ahead.

There seems to be no randomization in where geologists find sources. Therefore, make high level friends, visit their cities, observe their deposit locations. You will most likely have deposit locations in the exact same spots when you send your G man out. Thus you can plan where to place store houses and or masons.

Take it slow and steady in the beginning, don't go too ahead of the tutorial (At least not too much, you need to keep as much tools, until you can build them with a tool maker). Send your explorer out as many times as you can he will help replenish your inventory. Also Explore just two areas until you defeat your first bandit camp (Level 15 aprox.), the more you explore the more bandit camps there are which raises the possibility of your General to attack a camp you did not want to attack (they can have more soldier which may defeat your army if they outnumber yours).
in order to see raw material numbers, u have to be zoomed in far enough. (i'm not sure of a short cut key for those without a scroll wheel mouse).
took me a little while to see the raw material resource numbers cause it starts out a bit too far away, and since i usually play with a mouse pad on my laptop, i did not know we could scroll in. It wasn't till i had my mouse with mouse wheel hooked up and hit the scroll wheel that i realized we could zoom in and that it had numbers for the resources left on raw materials.

if u in need of more water, more copper - u can upgrade them instead of building more of them if you have more tools to spare. it cost 50 tools

There is no magic formula for this game: 3 woocutters for I dont know how many sawmills, etc...The production times fluctuates, which means that you have to adapt to this reality. What is remarkable about this game is that it is all about balance, not ratios...

Unlike other games of this genre, there is no path from raw to finished resource. Place your raw harvest building near the resource but your production houses near a store house or the Mayor's house. Save room and resouces to build extra store houses to cut down on travel time, especially for mines.
Pro Tip: When your explorer or general returns with goods don't put them into your store house unless you are going to use them right away. Keeping them in your star menu section until needed is a way to have a reserve above whats allowed in the store house.
Put atleast 2to3 masons on each stone quarry.
It is a waste to put a mason on a 2to3 minute walk from
mason to quarry then quarry to storehouse.
TIP to increase Building licenses: This one is only useful when your higher level. Try to upgrade your existing building rather than building a new one, this will save you one building license. If you already got many buildings of the same type, upgrade one(the one that has less production time) and delete the one with HIGHEST production time, this will in fact increase your economy.
Also, DONT build multiple copper mine OR wells, instead upgrade them, since they ONLY cost tools. which isn't hard to get if you gave enough time and toolmakers. This will save you some licenses and settlers(if its a well).
build everything close and also need a warehouse close so your economy will be more effective

Finding out what your friend needs before you start buffing structures would be nice. Otherwise you can hurt him/her on resources/planning for the future.
Before a wheat field becomes exhausted, tear it down to recover some resources. Or, if your wheat field is low and you will be offline for a considerable amount of time, build another wheat field nearby.
When starting up your military don't be afraid to visit your provision house and use those fish for production buffs. Place them on your cooper mines first, then cooper smelters, and then on your bronze weaponsmith, in that order, to maximize your buff and to increase the production of weapons for your initial troops. And don't forget to brew that beer, Keep and eye on it you may have to do the same for your farms and brewerys.
Okay first I just want to say I have been playing this game on the German server for the last 4 months. And since I didn't speak German I received a lot of help from other players. So If this plays the same then there has been some info that is not quite accurate.
#1 first all resources are taken from or too the warehouses. So a forester takes the wood he chops down to the nearest warehouse and a lumber mill takes the wood from the closest warehouse. This means you can have two warehouses on each side of the island and the resource dropped in one is instantly available to the other to be taken out and sent to the lumber mill. So you don't need to build a lumber mill next to a wood cutter instead you need to build a wood cutter near a warehouse and the sawmill near a warehouse and not necessary the same warehouse.
In short all resources have to travel to a warehouse before it goes to the next building ex:
woodcutter --> warehouse --> sawmill --> warehouse
woodcutter --> warehouse --> coal maker --> warehouse --> bronze smelter --> warehouse --> sword maker
So you can build your buildings anywhere you want as long as it is near a warehouse. (exception resource gathers do need to be near it's resource and hopefully close to a warehouse too. Fishing huts, wood cutters, miners, hunters)

Expired mines, wells and fields do not need to be destroyed, for mines just have the geologists search for the same resource and it will deleted the collapsed mine and replace it with the same resource icon so you can rebuild over that spot. For stones and marble the geologist will replace the expired mine. (Note: this works when you have found all the available mines as there are only so many mines per area).
As for fields and wells just build the new one right over top of the expired one.

Foresters will only plant trees in the designated places, so no worry about them taking over building spots, even if you deplete all the trees you can't build there as it is reserved for new trees you may plant.
Okay so when planning your town try and place one warehouse in a strategic place and you can group your buildings around the warehouse so the resources are transferred quickly to each building. Think of all warehouses as just one warehouse and resources taken to one are instantly accessible by the others.
