A Beginers guide to the Branch Office (Trading)
Welcome to the world of buying and selling. You are new to this so I'm going to explain a few concepts to you. If you are ready, we will begin.
Basic Instructions.
1. In order to trade, you must have a Branch Office. It will cost you 180 hardwood planks and 180 marble to build. It is found in the bottom right
of the Intermediate building menu.
2. To see other players trades, you will need to be in the trade chat window. To access this, find the "Trade" chat button between "Whisper" and
"Help".
3. When you first go to the trade menu, it may be empty. You just have to push the "Update" button and the list of things for trade will be shown.
4. You will see three columns. The first is the "Offer", or what the player is selling. The second is the "Cost", or what they are asking for the offer.
The third column is labeled "From", this is who is selling said item.
5. To purchase good from another player, simply click on the offer that you want and the "Send Trade Request" button in the bottom right should
light up. Click on the "Send Trade Request" button and an email is sent to the player selling the goods. At this point the "Cost" should be
removed from you inventory to await confirmation from the seller.*
*It is important to note that even after this process, your offer still might be refused. Remember, everyone else can see the offer and the player may no longer have the goods available.
Now I will explain how to set up your own "Offer".
1. While still in the trade menu, click on the button labeled "Add Offer". A trade window should open up.
2. On the left side of the menu, you will see your name and avatar and a button labeled "Select", press this button.
3. A new menu will pop up, but you should be familiar with this because it's the same inventory that pops up when you click on your Mayors House
or the Storehouses.
4. Decide on what you want goods you want to trade, for example Fir Wood Planks. When you click on the goods you wish to trade, they become
highlighted and a slider bar appears at the bottom of the menu. Move it around until you have the amount desired to trade with. Click OK.
5. Now you go back to the Trade menu. Click on the "Select" button on the right side under "Goods to Receive".
6. The same menu for your offer pops up. Simply decide what you want in return for your offer. When you are done, click "OK".
7. Now you click on the button with the crates in the middle column.
Your "Offer" should appear for the next 10 minutes. If at any time you wish to cancel your offer, click on the "Clear" button in the bottom right of the trade menu. Now you just have to wait and see if anyone wants what you are offering. If someone does want your goods, an message will be sent to you and a notification that you have new mail will appear. Click on the new mail, and in the body of the message there will be two buttons. The first, "Accept", means that you accept the trade and the goods will be removed from your inventory and in return you will receive your asking price. If you wish to decline the trade, simply hit the "Decline" button. This email will then be removed automatically from you inbox once you click on either of those buttons.
