1. I'm sure you could have read the TOS yourself instead of using that as a front to call someone out. In fact, you should technically know the TOS like the back of your hand, since you agreed to follow it when creating your account.
2. Why would you send him the resources to help build the Guild House if he apparently didn't have enough storage space to store all of the resources?
3. If he were hording money for himself, wouldn't it make sense that he would storm ahead of others with upgraded buildings and such?
4. You have no proof that the (refund) agreement mentioned doesn't exist. The timing of the edit is not proof enough to accuse someone of lying.
5. If you run guilds in other games, you should know that scamming is quite common, and should be wary of it regardless of whether you're in a beta environment or not.
6. If you run guilds in other games, you should also know what a well-organized guild would entail, and would expect to see more than a couple numbers to show progress toward the guild's creation.
7. You make no mention of how you expect a refund in your reply to his thread.
I'm not trying to defend Mr. Chase, but you went about this in all the wrong ways, and I don't feel much sympathy for you being scammed, if it is indeed a scam. I don't think cracking down on scamming is necessary. I think making people aware of how to avoid getting scammed is much more important and would be more effective in the end. I'd also like to add that calling someone out publicly is not the way to go about doing that, nor is it going to influence anyone with any authority to be more helpful to you than they would have been otherwise.
