Privacy and the lack of it
Yeah, I would like some privacy when playing a game!
why do u want to know my contacts/friends, phonebook, who I call and for how long,
trace my internet activities
trace me through my contacts/friends and through 3d-parties
visited websites and what I did there and specific pages and how long time spent there etc
habits and behaviors (psychoanalytic profiling!!)
where I live, my address
collect information about me and (through) my friends/contacts used on other social networks or phone/tablet
...
and you want me to activate 3d party cookies and spend hellof a lot of time opting out and do that every time I delete cookies!! Making this whole "privacy option" like a taunt to those who don't want private companies performing psychoanalytics on people and use for dodgy reasons or sell to other companies with unknown agendas and purposes...
The critical thinking of people seems to low these days, and people have been told that as long as you "don't have anything to hide" you are safe, witch is nothing but lies to keep people from asking questions.
We all know that companies are like people, we comit crimes and so does companies. So no matter what a company promises about your safety, there is always a chance of abuse or violation of that promise. With that said, everything ever collected about You and Your friends/workmates/etc can be used against you, no matter how law-abiding YOU are.
I thought this was a Game, not CIA or their alike... am I wrong or what are YOU hiding Ubisoft? What is your agenda?
Information is power. So why does a "gaming company" want so much power over me?? and why making it so hard to bypass that?
