Roads should decrease the time it takes for workers, villagers and soilders to move about in your city.
Roads are ment to improve the effiency of traveling and decrease time it takes to get from point a to point b.
Roads are a means to better transportation.
In real world they are not to just make the city pretty, nor where they ever just for that. They have always and will be a means of enhancing trasportaion.
Witch is why I think that roads in the game should decrease time it takes for workers, villagers and soilders to get from one spot in your city to another.
Please add this function in the game.

What about some more basic starting warriors? wooden spears maybe? Just so military fun can start a little sooner.
Another suggestion I have is to add an item to speed up or double the production of items in the Provision House. Like the Improved Drill Plan for the barracks. It should halve the production time of items or double the output like other buffs do. Make it last 12 hours and sell it for 125 gems or so and call it "Recovered Supply Crates" or something like that.
When making trades some people do not accept for what seems hours and then decline. This ties up your resources . We should have the ability to cancel a trade after about 10 minutes.
Great game...I wish we had the ability to downgrade a building level.
Meaning, (hypothetically) I have a level 3 cutter that is starting to deforest an area that was in balance prior to the upgrade from level 2. I do not want to add another forester to compensate. My only choices are:
1. Tear down the cutter and rebuild it back to level 2 (a ridiculous waste of resources);
2. Waste a license to add an extra level 1 forester;
3. Shutdown/buff to compensate.
Great fix would be to be able to downgrade a level and keep the building.
Another suggestion...wish we would get some resources back from a demo.
1) make Roads useful, i.e. settlers will use the roads given.
2) also building bridge across some water areas for more resource or so....
3) make the carts that is produced in high lvl to be used not only for cannon but also for transporting goods so that they can reduce walking time
4) Gold ore need not to be converted to Gold bar to produce Gold coins in actually life. so take out that step. gold ore directly into gold coins

It would be to add more information when you look at your resources in your Mayor's house or storehouse.
The information added would be the production per hour and the consumption per hour.
Those information would be shown when you place your mouse on the resource.
