It probably have already suggested, and I hope it did, because one more voice is added. We need a chat moderator on the help tab. Especially the help tab. Eevry single day there is greaving, annoying and obnoxious persons. Those need to be reminded that helping is not cause someone else trouble reading a very helpfull channel.
Have you checked recently? Some very very great people out there, helping others for several hours without even losing their good attitude!
I cannot say I know them all and I am sure more than many are good. But I do know that since my day one, BlackThomas from ETSU have been helping alot. Even without me saying something, he just answer everyone that I just have to check and get answers!
Anyway, sorry for my english, it is not my first language. Good luck everyone :)
2 big things i'd like to see as far as looks of islands is to have roads be placed ontop of the bare spots and stuff. Right now they drop behind bare/dirt areas and looks bad. Also have the layout and placement for decor items be more flexible. trying to layout a larger area with decor items ends up being very grid like and not easy to work with.
Give me the option to delete all the decor crap from my star menu. Or at least be able to trade it away.
Let me upgrade the dark castle/white castle/tower so that they don't waste population space.
Okay, so my prior post was more frustration-driven, here are some things I'd really like to see. Some have appeared previously in this, or other, threads. Some are ideas that I've talked about with friends and thus aren't exclusively mine ...
1. Named generals. With two veteran, three tavern and six battle hardened, it becomes difficult to know which is which. Especially if you're carefully aligning some on an adventure, and want to send others back to manage troops. When you click the "Send army" or "Send army back" links, it'd be really nice to choose from actual names. The easy solution is for the game to auto-sequence the names like TavernGeneral1, TavernGeneral2, BHGeneral1, BHGeneral2, BHGeneral3, etc. Or TG1, TG2, TG3, BH1, VG1, etc., as you acquire them. Fancier solution would let us name/rename them. I just need a unique name per general. It'd be pretty nice to name the explorers too, so long as we're naming stuff. Give the geos names too while we're at it.
2. Streamline the deployment of explorers. When I click on an Explorer, I'd like to see an option to "Auto-repeat" whatever task I assign. So if I send him on a Very Long Search, (24 ~ 48hrs for Savage Scouts/Explorers respectively), and I click the auto-repeat box, the explorer will conduct the search, return with a treasure, deposit the treasure to my star menu, (send me an email if you must, but I'd prefer not), and then immediately heads back out again. I realize this goes against the idea of getting me to login, but pfft on that. I'm on enough already & this is just tedious mouse-clicking. At this point in the game, with my island fully cleared, the ONLY thing my explorer can do is treasure hunts. So stop making me click so much. If I ever want him to stop auto-repeating, I'd just click his picture & remove the check from the "Auto-repeat" checkbox. Then the next time he came home, I'd have to manually start up his next assignment.
3. Garrison management. My island is full. It has no room for new buildings. When I bought the 2nd veteran this week, I couldn't build him anywhere on the map. What to do? I sent him to an adventure, w/o any troops, and immediately sent him home. Somehow the game found a place for him to build his garrison even though nothing had changed on my map. So if the game can find a space to build garrisons, why can't I? Technically, this could qualify as a bug, depending on how you choose to look at it. And while I'm at it, now that I'm up to 11 generals, the game can only find places to build 10, so I'm constantly stuck with one general who's left in star menu w/o being able to build a garrison. This is usually a Tavern General, just because they're slowest to return from advs. But even if I send another general off to a new adv, I can't build a new garrison in the recently-evacuated space.
Okay, enough for now.
Great Game.....
A few suggestions...
1. Trade "quests" in Trade TAB.....The Nords....Horseback ect.
2. Sell Loot Spot in Trade TAB......The black knights.....The Nords.... ect
3. Be able to Trade more than 400 at one time..... When I am buying 30K worth of supplies it takes forever to send countless trades
4. Let Gem sellers sell Gem stuff in trade TAB.... It very risky to trust a gem seller in global chat like trading for a Noble Deeds or Jolly Geo..... it shouldnt be buy at your own risk.... All that matter is That UBISOFT Sell's more gem stuff and the players get what they want. It would help your sales and the end user. Everyone wins!
5. Last thing there should be a countdown so I know when my buffs are going to run out.
MORE ISLANDS! Like advents except you can send outposts to over take them and settle. Maybe even secret deposits of titanium ore and granite 8)
Ok no idea whats been suggested already and I know some of my idea are being worked on but here goes: Trade, being able to sell and buy more than one stack at a time, perhaps larger stacks, when buying you can put how many stacks you want, when selling you can put how many you are selling, once all the stacks are gone, they trade is removed rather than having a time limit. I'm still thinking there needs to be a time limit but perhaps extend it a little to say an hr especially if you have 50 stack of one item to sell.
Second the mail system, when your in mail accepting multiple trades make it so they pop up without having to close the mail all the time and also a sent tab so you can see what mail you have sent.
Third a server clock, I don't live on server time and its annoying when you have no idea what time you have your maintenance, daylight savings and other factors change the time so it would be nice to have a clock that everyone can refer too, especially for maint and for organising adventures together.
Forth when you click on your production it would be nice to see over all production, maybe even something under the mayors house to see how much of things you are making at any one time, eg over all production time of say wheat, how many an hr you are making how many buildings you have etc etc.
last but not least, I love this game, just slow enough for me to keep up with and just fast enough to keep it interesting, well there's always something to do at least :D
Cheers
Darklady
One big thing I've been wondering is why you cant see a timer for how long a buff is lasting?
I find myself misreading the trade screen. i will buy when i wanted to sell or i will sell when i wanted to buy. I would like to see the same ability to cancel a trade regardless which end of the trade your on. Rigth now if your the one to offer a trade you can turn it down if you decide you are all done trading.
An adventure chat would be nice for 3 person adventures, having two separate whisper tabs is a bit irritating, having to say the same thing twice. A chat where we can invite specific people would also do the trick.
You can always just change your chat channel. Type: "/joinchat global-9" and you'll have your own, probably-private, chat room. I think there are 29 rooms in all, up to global-30, with one of the rooms in the 20's not available.
I use this technique to stay out of the cesspool that global-1 usually becomes.
i like the night time idea. the forges and the different lanterns would light up. camp fires at garrisons and bandit camps, windows of various buildings sparks from the weapon smith and tool maker and the settlers themselves could carry lighted lanterns to light their way.
would also like a button to toggle the pylons also seems a little silly the pylons in the water. for doing screenshots ect.
oh and the graphic from the lvl 1 wheat fields covers up the walk path graphic when placed on the entrance side of the field
i would like to see a production progress listed under the resource bar at the top of the screen so you could see how meny of each resource you are currentley produceing / per hr then your buff partners could see what you need buffed to help keep your production in check
i have so meny buildings all over the island its kinda hard to tell if i am not produceing enuff of somthing till i eather have 10k of it or have run out of it
also if there could be some kinda scroll feature on the resource bar showing your outher resources so you dont have to open up a storehouse every time you wanna see how much of somthing ya got ....
I think we should be able to build a University for upgrading the training of specialists. This would be done at 1/2 the cost of the gems in the gem shop, but would take a lot of time (when the specialist would be unavailable). (Time vs cost trade-off.)
For example:
* A normal geologist could be upgraded to a Jolly Geologist for 150 gems, and would take 1 day to upgrade.
* A Normal Explorer could be upgraded to a Savage Scout for 498 gems and would take 2 days to upgrade. (rounded up in Ubisoft's favor to inspire them to implement this idea)
* A normal General could be upgraded to a Battle Hardened General for 625 gems and would take 5 days to upgrade, and a Battle Hardened General can be upgraded to a Veteran General for 2500 gems and would take 7 days to upgrade.
I think this would encourage some of the smaller micro-payment gem packages to be purchased a bit more, and make it a litttle easier (and give a reason) for players who wouldn't normally buy gems to purchase a small package and get the advantage of the gem shop, while improving Ubisoft's profits at the same time. ;) (So we all benefit)
I think that the University would be a good idea for all sorts of upgrades like this eventually. Especially since it is a common theme in the Settler's franchise.
I think bananas, mangos, etc should be added as resources that can be won as special adventure drops (perhaps in the pirate adventures). Then we could have a quest to "find" the recipe (maybe get it by defeating the Crazy Cook) for the Red Flying settler, Exotic Fruit Basket, Love potion (from the Witch of the Swamp), and some of the other buffs. (there could even be a whole series of "cooking" quest micro-adventures). These recipes would probably need to be a single-use items that are needed along with the other ingredients to make the buffs in the Provision House. It might even be that the provision house would need to be upgraded before certain recipes could be made....
...These Items might also be available in the Wild Zones once they are implemented.
Love the game ! One of the aspects that could use improvement is in the trade area. One should be allowed to cancel a trade request after the posting goes off the trade board. Some players will leave you hanging for long periods of time. When the trade does go through you have to accept even if you don't need those items anymore! Thanks
I'd like to be able to see what resources my friends need, so when I buff there buildings there is a logical reason to do so.
I'd like to see the trader menu changed so one can buy multiples of an item instead of one at a time.
building times for what fields and wells should get shorter by level. Give me something to aspire to for christs sakes lol
Suggestion:
Any unit that is dealt damage but doesn't die should get promoted. Would be fun if some of these Recruits actually continued on and worked their way up to becoming elite soldiers.
i think you need a running list of buildind you have on your island this way you know what you acrually own without looking all over the place
plus the ratio of up grade vs actuall storages is off you use more than you gain.
This is sort of a weird request, but I would like to have a "draw" option on our empires. That way when someone goes to buff our islands we could click on a "draw option" and we could circle what buildings we want buffed, etc. Maybe the white drawing would disappear after a min or something. Anything along those lines would be cool. This would save on alot of typing, alot of reading, and be something unique at the same time :)
we need a move option and we should be able to make 100 soldiers at time not 25 at time and we should be able to have ignore and block button
The explorers bring back almost anything a person could want. The operative word there is "almost". There is one more thing it would be great if the explorers could bring back from their treasure hunts: Building licenses! Just two or three, like map pieces. That would be a wonderful addition to the items explorers return!
Thank you.
The HUD or heads up display at the top of the screen ingame...make it customizable so that the items you are keeping an eye on, are on display and you dont have to goto a storage unit to find its current value. Also make it hold as many resources as your screen will fit...
Movable windows would be nice too
Explorers need to bring back more map pieces on longer searches. Considering it cost more to do them, it should run, 3, 6, 9, 12. Just a thought as it makes more sense that just getting 3 if the search fails to find an adventure.
I think you should add decorations that improve productivity by small % (e.g. a statue that has an area of effect that decreases productivity by 1 second). This could also be a money maker for ubisoft because u can charge gems for high level decorations that increases productivity substantially. Other game companies do this, check for instance the hugely popular Zynga game Cityville.
I would love to be able to make 200 troops in one shot not just 25 at a time. For us that do major adventures that call for 1000 plus recruits, it would be nice to make 200 recruits at a time.
I just thought of a good one, would be cool if you could use multiple buffs on same building at a time. If already mentioned, oh well, too many posts to read :D This would save alot of time and worry about pausing certain buildings :)
Agreed, the more battles would be more experiences! So he/she should become stronger and be upgraded for free! 5 battles equel an upgrade i.e. more attack power, hit points, or larger garrison!
the app is a gr8 idea i would love to know when my resources deplete so i know to get on
SOmething I would like to see is a history on the trade board.. It seems that I'm always doing the same exact trades. IT would be convient if I could choose from a list of previously offered deals...
How about having navies? There could be merchant ships and also privateers (pirates). Use of the merchant ships would greatly increase production by theoreticaly going to another land to trade goods and return. Privateers could be sent out to intercept merchant ships. There could also be military naval vessels to protect the merchant ships. This would also add some necessary buildings like docks (for docking and unloading) ship builders and ship yards.
You could also incorporate ships into seagoing adventures.
if garrisons could be upgradable that they could carry towers to the war zone and the bowpeople could shoot from there they have a tower bonus so make the tower bonus be possible please
:D
I would like to see a "repeat last trade" button.
Hmm i got some pretty good ideas for this game, but ill start with the fighting aspect. I like this game for trading and making gold but thats to easy, so now i want to focus on the fight aspect and if i could suggest any games to get ideas off of it would be the heroes of might and magic fighting style, you go into a grid map with soldiers in the first Tier "any soldier militia recruit" second tier is the calvary which should protect the bowmen more then just having 5 health and dying in one shot, rather them have higher hp low dmg but get to strike first in the battles. i also think you should of course get to control what u attack first but if they have any of the first Tier u get to choose who u hit first. "aka the recruits cause there the weakest" something to make this game more about fighting and less about waiting. and have the retreat button so if one person is losing the fight can surrender keep his units he has left and then give him a small portion of gold/resources ect. for winning the battle. have wagers on battles aswel so you can anti up if you think u got this game down. Also had another type of currency like battle tokens and ranks so you know someone who is good is platinum ranked and u can see it before u fight them. battle tokens more or less to trade in for goods after a fight was won. " so u only lose gold from making an army and battling, not just getting pillaged". if you could make this into the game im positive it would have a good impact. thanks
I would really like to see an option where we can pay GC to move buildings... I would also like to be able to send multiple trades in a single transaction
I would like to see a progression of how buildings are built, instead the guy banging on the same plank over and over again, it should first start with just planks around the ground, then the primary structure, then it being filled in, the windows or whatever then the paint being added, and for every building it is different. This would be a fun way to pass time as your waiting for the building to be built.
