Agreed
I didn't quote the idea I agreed with. I liked the idea of seeing remaining buff timers
I was trying to read all the suggestions before posting, but ran out of time. Please forgive me if this has been said.
I'd like a max button so when I produce soldiers or bffs, I hit max and that tells me how many I can make and then I can place the order.
Guild leaders should get a way to ban their guild members from talking in public channels anywhere from 1 to 3 days. Considering some recent events it could be an easy way to cool off some hot heads. It would allow some self regulation of conduct and help to prevent mis-understood loyalties to escalate.
Members who do not wish to be subjected to such a ban should always have the ability to leave the guild and that way not be under such control by the guild leader anymore. This would prevent potential abuse, but still create enough hesitation to give the person who is under such a restriction that moment of thought that sometimes seems desperately necessary.
I don't know if it has been mentioned but a cancel button for upgrading would be great. I just lost 1000's of goods to an upgrade I won't use with an accidental click and could definitely use a cancel button lol
i think being able to upgrade garrisons and allowing a new general and his troops per upgrade would be nice, then u could send several generals at once to a battle..kind of silly to have to send them seperatly imo.. also each new general in the garrison should gain another 50 troops to control,.. so general 2 can have 250, general 3 300 etc, so if u have 3 generals u could have a army of 750 all attacking one target together and wouldnt lose so many troops in battle, just would make the battles easier imo.
Talking in public channels, like the global or help channels? I'm sorry I disagree. If you mean the guild chat room, then yea they should have that option. Otherwise as a guild leader you have to decide if their bringing in good reputation, neutral reputation or bad reputation for your guild. And go from there. They reflect the guild. It's just RL. The boss can stop things from happening within the work environment, but once the employees go home, he can't stop them from whatever they'll say or do.
Public Channels (Help/Glob) = Your guildmates are at home not working but still have affect on the guild's rep.
Guild Channel = Work Environment.
Here a thought make it were we command were we place are workers in the fish, storehouse, cutters. We have up to 5 or 10 workers for each building.
Give a 2 to 1 speed so 1 worker he or she works and get 2 mats.
lower the prod time.
Bring up the battle display that arrives after the battles in your inbox, but not just at the end have it come up as you are in battle that and have a little army trailing behind the general's, plus get rid of the sectors boundaries that you own, they are just annoying looking lol
First thing first. It would be nice if Ubisoft would summarize this tread so that you don't have to read though 13 pages to figure out if someone already mentioned your suggestion. BTW: I agree with a lot of the suggestions brought forth in here but didn't see anything about the wheat fields and water wells. Maybe I missed it.
At level 35 like I am right now, those 2 items make this game not as fun. To keep up with my production, I need 70+ water wells and wheat fields. I feel that all I'm doing now is water and wheat. Here are a couple suggestions that would help this problem a lot. They could also be implemented together.
1- Make those 2 items have more. water wells level 1 should have 2000, and level 2 5000. Same idea for wheat.
2- Don't make them count in the building queue. They don't count anyway towards building licenses.
3- Make the items you can purchase with gems, waterwheels and wheat fields be more worth it. Right now, their cost versus their value in the game isn't even close to be worth it.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents and from a developer standpoint, I know this could be implemented in less then 10 mins. ;-)
make your resource gathering building not count against your building licenses.
1. Have the general increase in hitpoints every time he wins a battle
2. Have the bandits put an occasional negative buff on some buildings
3. Have trades time out after ten minutes if the other player does not respond in a timely manner
Great game thus far.
I have two suggestions:
1. Whenever the user clicks on a workyard (or any building), there's the little information window that pops up that gives us all the details. I think that in addition to clicking the X to close the pop up, if the user clicked elsewhere, the pop up would close by itself. For example, let's say I clicked on the fir cutter workyard, it gives me the info, then I click on any empty space next to it and the pop up would close.
2. In the provision house, I tend to create my buffs in big bulk. It'd be nice when one buff is created, I could use it right away rather than wait until they are all completed.
Now I know that I can just click the X to close the pop up or create one buff at a time and these are just little things. But I think these little things help make the game more fluid.
what about diamomd, platinom. or plutonium mines?
how about shipyards snd be able to have more than 1 island, have transports, warships, fishin boats, scout boats, and suply boats
another idea!! make docks with merchant ships that o island to island sellin wares to others, have a pop-up menu where players can list thei wants and sells and merchant ships buy/sell according to the settings
I would like PVP added.
Maybe you have your island and a new large unclaimed area for everyone to fight over or just people take over each others islands.
* Leaderboards: Some way of seeing who has the best city, most recources, most gems, best production rates ect. would make the game have more of a competitive feel and would attract more competitive players.
I think this would be a great idea!!
Here are a few:
1. On the resource pop-up, add the current total resources being expended and created next to each resource. Alternately, just show the net increase/decrease.
2 Allow generals to level up and have them provide an increasing bonus to the army, instead of dealing direct damage. Possibly even add a specialty (cav, melee, ranged) modifier.
3. Allow building to be relocated for a % of the building cost.
This has probably already been mentioned, but it would be nice if you could decrease the wait time for new settlers. Everything else I can build more or upgrade to reduce the wait time (e.g. build an extra Mason doubles the rate I receive stone). So maybe the rate you obtain new settlers could be related to the number of houses or how many free spaces you have for settlers (e.g. extra house decreases wait time by 5% from previous value or wait time is proportional to number of available spots).
Are they looking at making the battle animation faster? I can't see any reason for it to take as long as it does...
i like to have a move building tab
Production over time charts for easy use:
Several links in the Forum are available to calculate this. I prefer this one : http://ceo-economy.appspot.com/
It is not mine but I hope it or one like it is more prominently placed in the game for new players to be familiar with.
The reason I like this is the ease of use.
I would like to suggest a filter of spammers and trollers....one that the community decides who they are.
I would propose a formula be used to show number off ignoreadds a player has against them. The number may be high and have warning points at stages.
The ignoreadds should not count if they were created while the player was not online.
This way an admin presence would not be required to boot or suspend a player the community would be somewhat self monitoring and actually several people try to.
I also suggest that you only qualify by sending it once...no "stuffing the ballot box"
I have seen some other games that could use this too, but there I saw abuse because the admins were friends of the offender or not of similar mind to the majority of members. Please help us police ourselves.
I think this is a FABULOUS idea, JanusValerius. Ohio people have such great ideas. GO BUCKS!
That could work, but I think we will have to wait and see how the PvP plays out. Plus you can revenge ignoring by a guild and it's allies. Either way it is very difficult to Moderate a chat. Ohio hasn't had a good idea since Woody Hayes. :)
would like to see a feature similar to Galaxy Online, that allows you to retreat from battle when you discover you are woefully matched (at least when its against the computer). When you enter battle with less troops, you always lose, so when you see the battle report, its a little disheartening to know you should have built a bigger army. When you battle against other players, I think its fine that you cannot scout their army size, or retreat (so you pick your battles carefully).
I would agree but with the inclusion of the votes only having value while the ignored player is online I do not see how that could be seriously used. More likely he would be a former member of the guild that nobody liked. No team is always 100% loyal to a singlre opinion.....unless the opinion is inherently valid by itself.
The second reason is the high qualifying requirement that I mentioned. The ratio factor would not even apply until say 100-200 ignoreadds are created against them. I only see one guild with that many members. I doubt they are ALL die hard login junkies.
That qualifying number would then apply the player login time versus the actual ignoreadd time and eliminate any of the "ego" stacking you suggest possible with guilds participating.
These are all code based functions, but I stand by the fact that the community would be able to police itself better without admin debate and overweighted individual influence.
If you truly do not see this then the penalized player should be able to appeal through a GROUP of Ubisoft Moderators. I am sure that amount of request will be less than the current stack of complaints.
Poor vehavior should be rooted out of a society not simply glossed over so new members have to keep being subjected to it. They will leave the community if they are given more negative before they experience all the positives. Even if this is considered a business it is prefered to not earn negative rep of the entire by the behavior of the few.
I would like to suggest a vote button on some of these forum posts so that the Ubisoft team can prioritize the validity to the community as a whole.
Not to suggest the opinions would decide all policy because it is property of the creators, however it would be good business to be aware of client/user opinion trends.
Again as I already suggested it should be only one vote per user and to avoid abuse by multi that the vote can be filtered. Filtered against amount of logins again. Not a perfect block but say the player login count would filter out any votes that do not have at least level "x" (played seriously) or logged in at least 5 times.
I am sure you get the idea, heck you were smart enmough to make this program.
Anyway, the vote could like the msn news votes on the reader response messages.
Thank you for your serious consideration.
This is an excellent idea IMO and thanks for posting this Janus. With the major influx of new players and the "trolls" etc. that come with, global is filling up so fast and half the time its near impossible to even keep up with the chat. Too much is said in global and players are getting away with more and more which its just giving the game a wors rep unfairly because of. this would help simplify the load for mods and all the mails and reports they receive on players as well as set an example for others that the conditions and terms they agreed to prior to playing the game will be adhered to or there will be consequences. It can never be perfect, but it can always be improved upon and this is a HUGE step in the right direction. mods can check easily enough to tell if a player is being singled out by a guild trying to exploit this.
This game is meant for people of all ages, and there has to be a better way to filter the chats as well as help advertise the use of /help and the options enclosed when a player uses that such as joining different global chats even. Maybe we can designate global chats to age groups or toss people with high amounts of ignores against them to troll each other in their own global chat even, that way no one has to be banned :P
That segment jumps out to me. I think it is a more than generous option AND would have the effect of focussing any Mods to truly attrocious players iand those who could be redeeemed.
Unfortunately, I am not as convinced about the age seperation unless registration and some retroactive data could require the age and be proven. Sadly, this may also be abused by the hardcore internet lurkers too. A good concept IF you can assist by providing a solid coding platform that is already active for this or is possible to call reliable.
I sure wish I knew one...I would shout it to every school and parent I knew! Most filters have to be initiated by the user for age marking as I know them..... not detection by external "program" The players are the only way I know to build that evidence inside a server that catches liars. Please keep me updated if you can help my knowledge on that point.
Sincere thanks for the /ignoreadd support and refinement. Hope UbiSoft likes it all too. (Great quote)
In the trade window, when the offer or cost is sorted, can the sort for the amount being done in a numeric sort instead of an alpha sort inside the commodity
1 cancel provision and barracks orders
2 cancel outstanding trades that exceed 15 20 25 mins i shouldnt be forced to wait 24 hours after i sent a trade or accepted or set up two trading fields one over night one for instant trading
3 reduce the cost of gems on the little stuff aka finishing trades sooner should be 1 or 2 gems and decorations shouldnt be expensive either. Id rather wait 600 adventures to get free flowers than pay 35plus gems
4 Be ABLE TO REPLANT OR MOVE TREES. Should be able.to clear cut. Rebuild over spot and forester replants in a space that IS open
5 rotate buildings and islands
6 make roads cost resources and actually work to reduce movement speeds
7 more more more decorations or more stuff to win in adventures i mean hardwood is nice but id rather a bench or light post
8 One more zoom in level
9 more songs
10 get rid of 3 hour drop for.paying customers
well there is my 50 cents
You need to give us more uses for map fragments. Why would I want to use map fragments to buy any of the three adventures available when my explorer finds those adventures at a rate of 5-6 times as often as any of the other ones.
Every adventure should have a map frag price to buy and I realize some of them would be costly.
There should be unique map frags which join together to make an adventure map that is only available by building the map.
Maybe 4 or 8 map pieces, 1 or 2 can be found from each length of adventure search. Once you have all 4 or 8 you get the adventure and its an adventure that can't be found or bought.
just my thoughts on improving the entrance to the adventure system
I agree!!!!!!

Could not agree more about the map fragments. They are nothing if a disappointment, and bring with them fantasies of Exploricide each time an explorer comes back after a long and costly hunt bearing one. The suggestion of increasing the number of adventures that can be purchased with them would go a long way toward more satisfying play. The suggestion for a pieced map adventure is also a good one.
My two map frags..erm..cents,

Mail Option. Block/Ignore
If you can put a person on ignore in chat then PLEASE add an Ignore/Block option to the mail system, OR link them together so they work hand in hand.
The reason for this, is that someone you have put on ignore can still spam your mail box with friends requests and unwanted mail.
Thank you
Global vs. Help
Proposal, blocking/limiting "Global" chat to a specific level before it is available to new players and making "Help" the only available chat by default.
** yes this is a very long dissertation, so I thank you in advance for having the courtesy to read it in it's entirety.**
How about considering a lock down on the Global chat tab for all new players until they reach a certain level and have all their chat go directly to the Help only. Similar to the inability to trade until you have a branch office built, do not allow them access to Global chat until they have reached a certain level in the tutorial as well. I am not trying to be mean or cruel to the new players here, what I am trying to accomplish with this suggestion I feel is actually, in the long run, going to be more beneficial to everyone playing.
Here is my reasoning behind this suggestion.
Global chat is an open, fast moving, multiple subject chat with a fairly high volume of seasoned players.
New players attempting to ask questions about the game, often redundantly, are frequently "lost in the shuffle" so to speak due to the high volume of chat, or ignored by more seasoned players who find it annoying and/or tedious to be "bothered" by "newbs" etc. Lets face it, not everyone has the desire to be a "help" desk in their global chat, or has the customer service attitude needed to handle a lot of new peoples questions, especially when the new people's questions are sometimes actually not real game related questions as much as they are trolling, or acting out, or intentionally designed to garner attention in an inappropriate way or incite undesirable chat topics. It would also save the new players with game related questions from being the subjects of inaccurate, inappropriate, and sometimes very cruel and/or unkind responses from other players. Lets face it bad information is worse then no information, and harassment/bullying can, and does, happen on both sides.
If they were relegated to the "Help" only channel they would, or should anyway, have less questions "lost in the shuffle", receive accurate and helpful responses from those players who wish to be helpful and who have the knowledge and persona's to give more accurate answers without a demeaning or condescending attitude towards "newbs". The help channel is often watched over by some very helpful and competent veteran players on a regular basis. Some of those steady helpers even make it a point of NOT participating in Global chat for various reasons, some of those reasons are so they are not being distracted by non-game related issues or missing questions asked in the help chat or they simply do not care for the global pace or topics. But whatever the reasons, the help and advice and attitude in the Help tab is a much more pleasant and productive experience for the new players as well as the seasoned players. In theory it could even help "freinding" for new players as they would most likely get to know each other a bit faster due to "common ground bonding", etc.
So I think this is a win-win for everyone. I believe it would also cut down on a lot of other "issues" that many seasoned players find annoying, etc.
For Example: Spam friends requests in your mail from new people, many whom have not even spoken a word but simply watch and click names as global chat scrolls along. Repeatedly asking for, or begging, for resources and /or handouts in global without even realizing they simply cannot trade yet without a branch office. The continual and repetitive, "I want to join a guild now etc." and of course the perpetual " is this game any fun/good" syndrome.
In the long run, I think it will be of more helpful and pleasant for everyone, new and seasoned players alike.
I hope I made my salient points clearly enough to avoid too many misunderstandings or misinterpretations.
Again,
Thank you for reading this rather long post.
P.S. Remember we were ALL new once. :)
roads that cost stone to make that help speed of your guys, and land mods to change to land scape of your island. but i know it been said removing trees and bushes and replacing them else where to help the lay outs. you could make your a forester that has a button to move trees around using your horses and fir planks. this is an easy one how about more music to pick from
