Daily Login Bonus -- not starting over after missing days

If you miss a day of the daily login bonus, you will also "miss" the day you come back as well, meaning it puts you a day behind and you miss a day's worth of reward.

For example, I went away this weekend. I logged in Friday and got my day 1 bonus. Saturday I was away and did not log in. Sunday I came home and logged in: It showed both day 2 and day 3 as missed and gave no reward. Today I logged in and started over again on day 1.

The issue is that the day you come back it should restart at Day 1 and give you the day 1 reward. As it is now, you're losing that extra day that you do actually log in on. You obviously shouldn't start back on the nth day since you missed one, but you should immediately start back up again at day 1.

So I am thinking its working as it should based on the behavior of other games that have this daily login bonus. The bonus trigger starts the first log-in, and the award is presented on the 2nd continuous day. Would be interested to hear from a developer what the expected pattern really is.
