You can skip two minor camps if you move to "Start Here" sector.
The clean order is followed the numerical order of camps (camp 1,2,3...,6).

Excellent post cliffkuo, note that you can do camp 1, 6(witch tower), and 4(bone church) to complete this adventure without having to do ANY other camps. After doing camp 1, you do the witch tower next, and then place your garrison just south east of the bone church and your general wont enter either agro of the 2 camps on each side of the bone church. This way does make it so you lose some exp however as you wont be attacking the leader at 5.

Also to save a few losses on the witch tower I will share my formula:

Wave 1 - 90 recruit, 4 militia, 3 soldiers, 65 cavalry, 2 longbowmen.

Wave 2 - 90 recruit, 60 soldiers, and 50 longbowmen.

dont ask how I got the numbers for wave 1(spent over an hour on combat sim and I assure you this is most optimal)this way you will save your 53-70 militia and 10 extra cav at the cost of 55 recruits, 4 militia, 3 soldiers, and 2 longbowmen. Not much but thought it was worth noting. Again, thanks for posting this cliffkuo, nice work :)

Thank you Wallstreet, you are right. I can skip two more minor camps on this adventure.
I will update this guide if I can find more Old Friends adventures.

I give up. Where do I find this Old Friends adventure. Not on list in trader. What have I missed?

It is a possible reward of the witch of the swamp adventure, just like motherly love is a possible reward of doing pirates. They can only be gotten through the adventure.

After doing camp1 then the witch tower, then bone church. You can attack camp 5 directly before hitting the *quest complete* button. This will give you full experience. Just move an extra garrison over to the witch tower sector and send it after the bone church is dead.

I just finished this adventure.

I only attacked camps 1/6/4, and got 4450 exp and a tonne of great loot....basically i saved myself 250 recruits in return for 2360 less exp. Maybe if i do this quest again i might give up the extra 250 recruits for 2360 more exp...not really sure....either way, was well worth the losses in return for the exp and loot.

Thanks to the guys who posted all of this info, it was a big help.

In regards to this, yes you do save the 53-70 militia, however you end up losing:

In wave 1: 4 militia, 3 soldiers
In wave 2: 26 Soldier
Total: 4 Militia & 29 soldiers

So your gonna lose some soldiers here instead of militia. However, the cost is less to re-build the soldiers, so it does make more sense, but takes some time though.

Well I ran the first wave but ya didn't mention the 26 soldiers would be lost in 2nd wave.. I came up with this formula for 2nd wave that works with alot less expense. This is assuming that only the Witch and High Priest are to be fought in 2nd wave.

100r 20m and 80 Longbowman.. I lost 100r and 16m. Simulator says you win every time with 20m or fewer lost along with recruits..

My attacks and losses:

1: 115R, 85S - 108-115R
6: 1st wave: 111R, 65C; 2nd wave 60R, 20S, 120LB losses 171R, 4-18S, 65C
4: 1st wave: 197R; 2nd wave 25R, 55S, 120LB losses 222R
5: 115R, 85S - 108-114R

You lose no LB and max 18S. You must lose 65 C. Recruit losses approx 623R. You lose 26 more recruits then cliffkuo but zero militia to his 53-70M and 10 less C

The cost of not taking out Camp 5 is high. XPs only 4450 without it....a cost of 2360 XPs for only an additional 100-120 R.

Very similar but with xbows...
White Castle
Wave 1 I used 90 recruits, 4 militia, 63 cavalry, and 7 longbowmen but only because I am making xbowmen now and had 7 LB's to spare (rather than losing 3 soldiers).
Wave 2 I used 105 recruits, 30 xbows, and 65 longbows. Lost 95 recruits.

Bone Church
Wave 1: 185 Recruits
Wave 2: 25 Recruits, 35 Cavalry, 30 xbows, 110 longbows.
For a total loss of 205 recruits

You should update the Guide cuz with the new pathing you can hit the BC right after the 1st camp ;)

I just finished this quest, but with some changes. I blocked camp1, and took out the Tower first. I used wave1: 135R,10M,45C wave2: 70M,125LB and lost 66M. To block camp1, I set 2 generals in the 'start here' island, there are only 2 spots available, the closer general I used for blocking. I sent the second general as the blocker just started walking beside the river. The timing is critical here, you only have about 2 seconds of error. For the Bone church I used wave1: 180R,10M and wave2: 25R,25M,25S,125LB and lost 25 R. Next time I will only use 24R, just to save one more. Total losses were 340R,86M, and 45C. only 4450 XP, but I did not feel that camp5 was worth the losses, Ill just do another witch adventure instead.

For the bone church and witch tower, I used 75 recruits, 50 soldiers, 50 cavs, and 75 xbows. You loose all the recruits in both, some of the soldiers, but the cavs and xbows aren't touched. Against the witch tower, there is the chance of losing about 13 xbows, but it is pretty small.

Yes you can skip Camps 2 and 3 now. And Bone Church I hit with one wave - 140R 10M 100XB Lost 140R and 6M

Only here, but half the time it pops up as a malware site.

You don't automatically get Old Friends. It's just a % chance to drop as part of your loot from WotS.

I'm going to do this adv. in couple days I'll post my reward so u can add more to the list.
