Halloween Haiku Event

As the Halloween event has been going on for a few days now, I thought you guys could use that as inspiration for a Spooky Halloween Haiku Event! This event will take place from 10/26 – 11/4. Put your thinking caps on and come up with something eerily awesome.

What is a Haiku? A haiku is a poem that is 17 syllables. The first line is 5 syllables, the second is 7 syllables, and the third and final line is 5 syllables.

Example Haiku:
Trick or Treat at night
The general rounds up troops
To the brewery!

When: 10/26/2011 – 11/4/2011

Prize: Everyone who enters will get 25 Gems. Must be a legitimate entry and make sense. The top 5 voted by the Castle Empire team will get 250 Gems!

Rules: Must follow the rules of a standard Haiku. Must be submitted before 11:59 PM PST on 11/4/2011. Only one entry per person!

Zombies and Ghosties
Castle Empire is haunted
Pumpkins rule the world

When the lights go out
And all that remains is fear
Rememeber to Runnnn.....

Spirits haunt my dreams
My dead Recruits muffled screams
Night as Black as Death

Carved pumpkins and ghosts
Scary movies on TV
Time to eat Candy!

Knock, Knock At The Door
Little Children Dressed In Gore
Everybody Scream!

Stayed up late last night
Must Prepare for Wild Mary
Stacks of swords, we fight

Knock for Candy, Kids
But Nothing Tears Me Away
From Castle Empire

Get Pumpkins Today
They haunt our dreams at our bedtime
Frank and Stein and Myers

Trick or Treat is the name of the game.
