Halloween Haiku Event

As the Halloween event has been going on for a few days now, I thought you guys could use that as inspiration for a Spooky Halloween Haiku Event! This event will take place from 10/26 – 11/4. Put your thinking caps on and come up with something eerily awesome.

What is a Haiku? A haiku is a poem that is 17 syllables. The first line is 5 syllables, the second is 7 syllables, and the third and final line is 5 syllables.

Example Haiku:
Trick or Treat at night
The general rounds up troops
To the brewery!

When: 10/26/2011 – 11/4/2011

Prize: Everyone who enters will get 25 Gems. Must be a legitimate entry and make sense. The top 5 voted by the Castle Empire team will get 250 Gems!

Rules: Must follow the rules of a standard Haiku. Must be submitted before 11:59 PM PST on 11/4/2011. Only one entry per person!

Zombies and Ghosties
Castle Empire is haunted
Pumpkins rule the world

When the lights go out
And all that remains is fear
Rememeber to Runnnn.....

Spirits haunt my dreams
My dead Recruits muffled screams
Night as Black as Death

Carved pumpkins and ghosts
Scary movies on TV
Time to eat Candy!

Knock, Knock At The Door
Little Children Dressed In Gore
Everybody Scream!

Stayed up late last night
Must Prepare for Wild Mary
Stacks of swords, we fight

Knock for Candy, Kids
But Nothing Tears Me Away
From Castle Empire

Get Pumpkins Today
They haunt our dreams at our bedtime
Frank and Stein and Myers

Trick or Treat is the name of the game.

Or I trick you

Pumkin fest all picked
Darkness falls gives way to light
Friend or Foe you choose

Gather your pumpkins
Then buff others with darkness
Or very strong light

In the dead of night
Spirits walk my scary halls
Chilling every nerve

Chains rattling at night
Spirits dancing with delight
Raising nightmare fright

Everyone needs more;
Pumpkins, Silos, Grim Reapers.
I just want my pie!

If killed by Zombies,
painful death you will receive.
Reborn a Zombie.

Always with candy
Fill my bag to the top please
Sore stomach later

Meat shields marching forth
Pumpkins shattered at the sound
Bandits die screaming

pumpkin graveyards filled
dark and light buffs all around
halloween is here!

pumpkins from the earth
undead whispers chill the night
fill this halloween

Castle Empire ghosts
rattle the bones of troops past
Music of the dead

Sugared up children
Are too much work. I'll hide
In Castle Empire.

Zombies roam Empire
the dead will overwehelm you
time to hide with beer

Pumpkins harvesting
I can't wait too much longer
Must get grim reaper!

lead by the dark Grim Reaper
sacrifice their souls

Army's ready to dispatch
too much beer to match

Trick or treat on monday night
Time for dressing up

Be warned Tarry Town
Headless Horseman has taken
Poor Ichabod Crane

Pumpkin trade frenzy
An arm, a leg, a coin purse
Grim reaper takes all

a dark eerie night
legion of darkness to thrive
swords and knives will fly

In the withered mist,
Wretched whispers of a wisp,
Wallow and persist.
