That won't be possible, it's a resource you must have. It's like saying you want to build on top of mountains that have deposits, or over water that have fish.
I don't see why it'd be impossible - you do have foresters that plant new trees so they could just plant em somewhere else :P
How would you work that out? If you just let them randomly plant trees where ever, that could cause issues as well.
i hate the little bushes in the game that have to time of day being there. plus building over trees would be sweet, you do got a foresters. they could have a set limit of tree to to grow on map give the foresters a button to plant trees in spots you want only up to 25 or what ever the max is per fir/hardwood
Could kinda use the same system as building roads - designating an area for trees, as well as removing them.
i was thinking simplify it...the map is already set in a square grid. if you build over top of a square that at one point had a tree there, your foresters will not plant a tree there.. not to be rude but if your that stupid and build over top of all your trees well then sucks to be you... its just a pain when there like 1 tree in the way and u can build something..
You know, I'd have to agree that it would be nice to be able to build over trees and bushes. It seems kinda unbalanced to protect people from themselves in one respect and then say well.. you should have known better in another. I can't build over trees, because the game is protecting me from making a stupid mistake. Great. However, I can't move buildings. So if I make a stupid mistake there it's.. oh well, live with it.
How about implementing both the ability to build over trees and to move buildings? Thereby I'm completely protected from my own stupidity. Plus, I'm happier. When I'm happy, I spend money. When I'm frustrated, I go elsewhere.
Just saying. :)
ya, lets just take all the skill right out of the game Jewel, heck lets just toss it onto facebook and make it so u can play it with your "smart" phone and all you do is click a button once a day and it auto optimizes everything for you so you never have to play it even, what a great game!!
Wallstreet.. It really doesn't take a lot of skill to build 15 dozen of the same building. It does take skill to decide which buildings you need, how much of each resource you need and just how many and what type of troop to build, in your one barracks. Moving buildings, or deciding where you want trees to grow is hardly taking the skill out of the game. You still have to have some knowledge of strategy and basic economics to get anywhere.
I'm not an idiot just because I want to be able to move my buildings around without demolishing them, or because I would like to put something over that one bush. It's called wanting to optimize the space available.
Another point as well. I really expected better from the Leader of Alpha Knights. Thanks for implying that myself, and everyone else that posted before me on this subject, is stupid and should be on Facebook.
i think you guys are taking this a bit far... first off how dose it take the skill out of the game to build over trees?? as jewel said its a matter of optimizing space..second how moving building got into this idk but i dont agree with be able to move buildings..i think they have the right concept there.. if you put a building in the wrong place or would just like to move it pay the res to knock it down and build another..
My comment was directed at being able to move buildings without any kind of resource loss, my bad for not clarifying. It was rather rude of me and I apologize for that, but it gets old seeing the same comments about being able to just move buildings around freely when the layout of the game is planning your building layout carefully, thats why they dont allow you to just move buildings and you only get a fraction of your resources back.
The slightest variance in distance to a buildings needed resource or to the storehouse can affect overall production time by several seconds, and that adds up quick when it only takes around 6 minutes for the average building to produce. That is my opinion on why they dont allow us to just move buildings and for that I'm glad they dont. Plan carefully and take into consideration the overall production time and how its affected.
Also, this thread was about building over trees which I think is a great idea, if you want to discuss something thats not about this threads topic, theres also a thread for suggestions.
LOL at roy, you make posts just to be the forum troll apparently now... it shows with how many posts you have made and looking at most they dont provide any feedback or even anything worth reading. guess it was a mistake to take you off my ignore list.
