No "delete buff red X" on Light buff in star menu

I have some of the "light" buffs left over from halloween, but i am unable to use or delete them. they have no red star.

I also have a 150 metal buff from the sign-in daily quest. I can't use it on my town hall. It doesn't have a red X to delete it either.

It's most likely a +deposit buff instead of actual resources. If you hover over it, the tooltip will tell you what it is.

For a +deposit one, you apply it to a deposit (i.e. a mine of that type) and it will add that much to the deposit rather than adding it directly to your stores.

Now... how did I manage not to figure that one by myself?!? (N00B)
