Using other global chats

It has come to our attention that many players would like to discuss topics that may not be suited for "Global-1", which is meant for discussion about game and friendly conversations.

If you wish to talk about other subjects, you can go to another global-X for these kinds of discussions such as religion or politics or anything that a majority of players may find offensive.

The reason for this posting, is to let the players know they can have a place to discuss things. You may not think that topics listed above are offensive yourself but they can be. Be Respectful of your other players and help keep global-1 clean.

To join another channel please follow the instructions below

Type /joinChat global-X (X = number)

Mistapink, would it be possible to add an additional chat tab, just so that you don't have to leave global-1 entirely to use the additional global options. Its kind of a pain to constantly reload chat windows, especially when you get a server time out, or game freeze.

I agree with LadyTerra. Trade shouldn't be traded through a chat tab it should be traded through separate trade GUI and trade offers should be made in the trade box and not in Global-1.

One more minor request,
Could you put the chat command in the log in tips? No where in the game does it tell you how to use chat commands and what they are. You won't see anywhere in the game to use /help to get said chat commands. How are players supposed to know that these options exist if they aren't interested in using the forum (which, only 20% of players use).:confused:

I agree with LadyTerra, it does get tiresome to have to tell people how to ignore etc. when they ask IF and how to do it.
Also another Global and/or an optional "trade chat" tab would be much appreciated and I am sure it would be frequently used. Too many times "help" turns into another global tab and the "help" people just get lost in the shuffle in BOTH tabs.

Personally I'm for a trade tab, just to ease some of the channel clutter. But then I have mixed feelings for it because the chat is starting to become very unwelcoming when you have a certain few players who badger and hound people when they veer slightly off topic. Some creep kept whispering me telling me I should talk in help unless I'm asking for or helping others. Which seems a bit awkward considering it was 4am and no one was on or being hindered from the help available. Then you have the same certain people in global chat telling people they shouldn't ask for help in global, which makes sense you'd be more likely to get help in /help but sometimes someone in global knows something someone in help doesn't...To sum it up, you should clarify that off topic conversation during non-peak hours aren't allowed and harassment from members telling people not to talk in the channels is entirely rude and disrespectful. :3 Just my two coins worth.

Yeah, let's all make more STUPID rules for chat so NO one every wants to go on it. The babysitters in the chat room are ridiculous. Children who play this or any game on the internet should be watched by their parents. ITS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE YOUR BRATS DON'T READ A BAD WORD. Somehow I got chat-banned and no explanation was sent.

Some of us grown ups do not want to read foul language is appropriate for the chat.
Not all people need to curse and swear to get a point across.
We all agreed to the ToS.

I have to say that I was truely appalled at the behavior of the majority of the players in global during Monday's Trivia. In fact, it was so bad, if I was the GM, I would have canceled the entire event...period
Global has gotten way out of hand and I don't see that UBI/BlueByte are doing anything about it.

I concur.
The help tab trolls who try to impose some rule over others are on some power and control trip.
Players posting discrete and concise recruitment or trade offers have every right to use both chats.
Hopefully, those of us who do will be considerate of others using the chat.

Another tab for trades would be awesome, but even if we get one, that does not mean people could not still use global and help to post offers.
Just as it means people would not be prohibited for chatting in trade tab about other topics.
No one player or group of players has exclusive domain over and chat tabs except whispers and guild chats.

On that note, could we get a special Begging Tab?
