Am not seeing why it is necessary to keep talking about Roman, rather than simply sending in requests to Support for more consistent chat moderation. It is apparent that different people have had different experiences with Roman, and RMAGPILE was simply putting forth a suggestion about someone with whom he had a very positive experience as have many others. To continue harping upon Roman's shortcomings as seen by some, or lauding Roman's many fine qualities as seen by some is really just distracting from the overriding issue.
The topic, however, and I repeat -- needs to be focused upon the need, not about the person. Certainly Ubi and BB have had years of making executive decisions about whom they think would or would not be appropriate to fill ::any:: position. It's not as if they are newcomers to the gaming scene. Don't think for one minute that the current GM and BBs aren't aware of who is naughty and who is nice, and who has the maturity and who does not.
Players have historically, and can continue to be good mods in games. Having employees handle it would be the preferable option.
Put down the pitchforks and torches, and use the brain power in this thread to instead take the moderator issue to the Suggestions Thread or send in a Support Request.
