Ranking System

Ok, I understand this is still beta and all but we desperately need some kind of ranking system other than what guild has the most members. We dont have PvP or any kind of competitive drive for the game and I know of several higher level players that are starting to lose interest as am I. Individual stats for highest level players, average level of members ranking for guilds, or even resource production type leaders would be awesome. The last would only have to be updated like once a week since it would be hard to keep up with it on a daily basis considering people are always modifying their islands and production based on needs/wants and demand, so updating it once a week would work and also this could significantly affect trading by having this so players know who to contact for a specific resource type simply by checking the list and seeing who the top producers are.

Until PvP comes(which I'm patiently waiting for and only reason I'm still playing is to see how good it will be) this will help drive players to improve and add some competitive flair to the game which it is sorely lacking IMO. I love Ubisofts games and their rich history, that said, I do expect more and to keep my interest personally with this game and my cash spending here we need some type of rankings implemented or for us to start being clued in on PvP details at the very least, please and thank you.

I totally agree. Right now there is hardly any drive for competitiveness. Would love to be able to compare my island to others through some quantitative means.

Oh you mean take the evony game and re make it here? i agree on some kind of ranking system i.e. knight,baron,viscount to make the game alittle more interesting than the 2 dimensional version it is currently and yes it could be alittle more fun with PvP but we also need to not make this game like evony or at least too much like it

I agree sounds like it might give more drive to get lvl'd up for some players

I wonder if they could rank players by

-amount of units killed
-amount of units lost
-top resource producers

I'm sure ubi can come up with better ranking systems based on how much we've accomplished in the game. I would also like some updates on the coming pvp.

I don't think you've understood what he means by ranking system... He doesn't mean Knight, Baron, Viscount, etc... he means a ranking system/high scores.

I don't think I've ever played a game that has no ranking system/ high scores.... etc. So saying that adding one would make this game into Evony is just way off the mark.

At the present moment, the only ranking system there is is on the guild page which can be sorted by level/name/or guild rank. (guild rank is different than what wallstreet is saying about a ranking system.)

What wallstreet is proposing is a high scores list that updates once a week at least, which can be sorted by level as well.

Perhaps there could be other features added to it, but atm, there is no way to view another players level unless you are friends with them, or they are in the same guild.

It's a don't care for me either way. Unless there was/is great loot involved......

Well thanks for your well thought feedback SP... I'm sure you would care if you could know who made the most resources for specific types as it'd make trade much easier not just for you but other members in TC guild as well. I also noted at the end that if nothing else maybe we could be clued in on details for pvp, guessing you dont care about that either...

Completely got me baffled how my post has anything to do with relating to another game directly. this is an rts/city builder, every game I've ever seen or played like this has some sort of ranking system and statistical categories.

+1. Well said. Would love some additional statistics to see how I compare to others in important aspects. Creates bragging rights, goal setting, some felt sense of accomplishment aside from completing adventures (would be cool to know how many I've completed?), i get that this may not be possible looking backwards, but would be fun going forwards.
