I keep getting the clear cache every time I go to do something, because some file did not load from the client. It is not feasible to have to log out, clear cache, log back in just to do the few things that I need to do each day.

I cleared the cache and it still wont load...anyone have any ideas?
I have been getting this also for the last 30 minutes. My brother can't log on either so something is wrong.
I refreshed the game because of an error with building and haven't been able to log back in. This is irritating and it may cause me to leave the game if it is not fixed soon
I'm getting the same error...at least I'm not in it alone...

Several times yesterday, several times this morning -- still occurring. When I do get in, I then get the "disco" friends list, i.e., flashing on and off in rapid flickers. Clearing browser cache has no effect. Happens in both IE and Mozilla. Both up to date with most current version of Flash. Complete reboot also, did not fix.
I'm also getting the same message today in Firefox 8.0 and Chrome 16.0.912.63 m, but logged into the game using IE 8.0. I'm not sure why IE 8 works.
I have deleted the cache several times with no luck. I have even drill down and deleted the cache manual in win 7 - C:\Users\myprofile\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\P rofiles\5452u71j.default\
I will try Firefox 9.0 and see if that will work.
Looks like a game thing not a client thing. Cleared my PC cache cleared Browser cache, tried different browser. Can't get in at all. I was able to get in last night for a couple of min's; and thank you for the great Christmas gifts.
Yeah I just tried it with IE, Firefox and Chrome and still same message about clearing cache due to file not loading.
Same here, thought it was me.
Chrome doesn't work, IE 9, doesn't work.
Well, I installed Firefox 9.0.1 and made sure I have the latest version of flash and I still can get logged into the game.

I am having the same problem with firefox and IE. I have cleared the cache numerous time, always the same problem. This has to be a server / game based problem, not an individuel problem.
Come maintance get going and fix this so us loyal fans can play.
At least I am not alone. Please someone do something, anything, even if its wrong.
I concur, having issues with both Chrome and Firefox. I cannot put anything from the Star menu into the Mayor's building. I can still buff buildings, but cannot put resources or settlers into Mayor's building. I will most likely fail an 'Island of Pirates' adventure if I can't get more settlers.
Are some people actually in the game?
Guess it's a good thing I have other games to play today, this one won't load completely. Not worth the frustration to try. In this case, clearing the cache does not improve loading.
Update: 8:32 am RMT
When I continued to click "OK" on the failure to load notice, my screen became progressively brighter, bringing the game back up (without my mayors house, I might add) -- and I am now able to perform small maneuvers in between getting the notice. Any mouse click activates the notice.
I'm getting this, and I'm on a computer that has never logged into the game before... the error about the "cache" is misleading. This is definitely something server-side.
I am getting the same message "File loading failed". The client was unable to load a data file. Delete your browser cache and try again. Would be nice if we got some type of a answer here.
Could some one take care of my fields and mines for more please?

At this point, I have tried I.E. 9 and Chrome, and I am still having
issues. I am not able to get past the "santa" page sometimes, but if I
am able to get into the game I am missing multiple chat tabs and am
only able to stay on for a limited amount of time. As I am replying to
this email, I have had to refresh my game 3 times, because I have
gotten the popup box saying to refresh browser, clear your cache
(which I have done), and server failed please refresh.
Please help.

Have you tried loading the game in another browser, I noticed you are using Firefox which usually doesn't have as many issues with the game. If you could try IE or Chrome to load the game to see if it a browser issue or something else.

I am sure you are aware of this and are currently working to make it better.
However, I cannot login. I can click on "sign in with facebook' and I can
click on "Play Now" but after that, the game does not load, or loads very
slowly.
Last night, while wrapping presents, I turned on the game, and allowed it to
load with no interference from me, and after wrapping for two hours the game
still did not load.
I then proceeded to upgrade my browser and my flash and cleaned out cache and
my laptop, but even today I am not able to login. Please fix this problem and
allow me to tend my empire.
My browser is Firefox 8.0.1.

I can't log in. I get an error to delete my cache from my browser.
Yesterday is when I started getting this problem and I went to
tools/options/network/changed my Limit cache to 0 and pressed clear now.
Worked fine until I tried to log on this morning. I tried using Firefox,
google chrome and internet explorer. I get the same error from all three. I
even restarted my computer
same here, even tried this game on opera browser, still no luck
and were still have to hear from their side yet...
Bump for another person having the same issue with Firefox, IE and Chrome..
yeah. hopefully they can fix it before anymore players post another thread regarding this issue. Anyway, just want to login to do some buffs but thinking that they have not post anything regarding this (on when can we login) i just need to do some stuffs and come back later. have a nice day everyone =)

This is what I found out.
I have 3 accounts each account plays on different browsers. All my accounts will not work on Firefox or Chrome, but two will work in IE 8, but still show the message that I need to clear the cache, but still allows me to play. I think this is a Server/Client issue, but not sure why the client.
For example
Account 1 logs into Firefox - does not work and get clear cache message.
Account 2 logs into Chrome - does not work and get clear cache message.
Account 3 logs into IE - this does work no message.
Account 3 logs into Firefox and gets clear cache message.
Account 3 logs into Chrome and gets clear cache message.
Account 3 logs back into the IE no Message and works fine.
Account 1 logs into the IE Browser and log in and get message, but I can still play.
Account 2 is the same way I can log in, the clear cache message still pop up.
Account 3 log back in and no message.
If account 3 log into Firefox or Chrome and it doesn't work, but does work in IE. That's weird.

Pretty sure there's something in the ToS that forbids that
same trouble here, logged in, had the clear cache notice, did so came back and had the same notice, cleared it again, now only getting blue screen
heck, no they got the problemthat, the dang game keeps crashing flash, so i am bout to forget this game
