Castle Empire Event Brainstorm

Hey Castle Empire Players!

We are looking for new Community Event Ideas. These events can take place here on the forums, in-game, Facebook, or Twitter.

Example Events:

GM Trivia: Gms ask questions in global chat, first five to answer win a prize.

Farmers Market: Dedicated weekly event to trading. Players come during x period of time to specifically trade.

Caption Contest: I post a screenshot on the forums, and players come up with a caption for a prize.

Resource Check: I ask for X amount of a resource, whoever trades first wins x prize. They will of course be given their resource back.

What I would love to have is an event that promotes guilds, building up friends, in-game activity, and forum community.

Keep in mind, events involving development are much harder to pull off. It would be great if you could come up with events that do not involve the dev team.

Joke contest. Come up with the best one liner, knock knock, or story related to CEO. Best ones get voted by staff or players.

I think it would be great for guilds to have one resource that anyone in the guilds explorer can find while adventure searching. Similar to map fragments. These would build up and allow the guild master to buy "guild only" adventures from the store. These guild adventures are 2-4 person max and would reward people with similar items as adventures reward now but also reward "Counterfeit Guild Certificates" and Guild buffs that increase the items production of a certain building type for all members for 12-32 hours. I think it would be to also reward special decorations to those that complete these on a rare basis.

Have a contest to come up with the best Event that you guys use in game :)

this will be a long shot. what about an adventure that all in a guild must do difficalty is based on the amount of people in the guild top ten guilds to finish first wins?

Real life CEO costume contest - dress up like your favorite war unit or Bandit/Boss. Prizes awarded by submitting costume photos. Staff picks their top 10 and players pick the ranking of the top 10. First place awards an LARGE sum of gems - dwindling down to a much lower amount for 10th place. ALL participants - due to the time/effort involved will at least receive a Cookies type buff as a consolation prize.

Have an adventure that the entire guild is already invited to and participates in (open a third slot so you can still have two other adventures to participate in). You could even take the average guild lvl to determine the difficulty. Some random ideas you could do:
- make it so that it would take a while to complete...like a week.
- give extra guild rewards if it is completed within 5 days or less.
- Once the adventure is complete then everyone in guild gets rewards or you get guild only rewards and you get the xp for what you killed.

I think that creating elements that whole guilds team up in to complete would be really fun and help build friends/guilds!

I really like the idea of having guild masters and guild only adventures/buffs.

Holiday art contests. Have an art contest with the theme of the holiday: make a CEO Valentine's Day card, CEO St. Patrick's Day logo, CEO Happy Easter Day greeting, etc.

Ok so an Event that; promotes guilds, building up friends, in-game activity, and forum community.

A Tall Order to find something that covers all aspects rolled into one. ;)

But before I put some ideas out there, please note that I've only been playing three days total, so please "anyone" feel free to correct any oversights I might of made; not knowing how later gameplay or guilds work.

Now I appreciate my suggestion for an event might not be feasible, or not be the sort of thing you’re looking for as it couldn't be put into place immediately. It would take some time, since there would be an amount of development (maps/prizes) and organisation.


The Event of No Name Decided Yet

• Open to all players who have completed the tutorial and reached lvl 17 and above.
• Promoted via homepage, newsletter, in game announcement, forums.

Four or five Special Event Adventure Maps are offered, "only" via the forums from Community Managers etc., hence boosting forum usage.

They would be under 4 or 5 level categories. These would all be 4 player maps; within the defined level ranges.

Rough estimation:

• 17+ <insert map details>
• 26+ <insert map details>
• 32+ <insert map details>
• 36+ <insert map details>
• 42+ <insert map details>

Only 1 map given per player (based on level range); while the event lasts, to prevent stock hoarding or unfair advantages to lower lvl players.

Once players recieve said maps; they will need to find 3 other players to complete it with either via the forums or in-game via chat/whispers.


People may choose to complete the Special Event Adventure with whom ever they wish, and be rewarded like normal adventures as per: German CEO Wiki

However players completing the Special Event Adventure Map with 3 other players from Guilds other than their own, or unguilded players, (nice way for people to meet each other and see what Guilds are out and vice versa for Guilds looking for members) they could then post to the forums with who they've played with (checks would be done via in-house-tools); they would then recieve some additional rewards, based on the Special Event Adventure Map completed by their Team.

i.e. Ideas only; understand some of these might be to much as extras based on my limited knowledge of the game so far.

Noble Resident Deed
Guild House Deed (only if unguilded)
Building Licences
Buff Food for Guilds
Buff Food Single Players
Jolly Geologist
Savage Scout
Battle Hardened General
Counterfeit Membership (only if guilded)
Guild Member Certificate (only if guilded)

Or instead a choice of reward packs like A,B,C giving the player some choice depending on their situation and playstyle.

As an additional bonus to those players completing their map with 3 other players, from Guilds other than their own, or unguilded players.
They would be entered into a prize draw as a single group. The winners once notified would then each receive a special gift.

The prize draw should be like any of its type 1st (1 prize),2nd (1 prize),3rd (1 prize),4th (100 prizes), 5th (500 prizes).

Now the Team Winners Top Prize Draw Gifts for at least 1st, 2nd, 3rd should be something unique; whether that be cosmetic or useful such as The Witches Tower as an example only; but tailored to the Special Event Adventure Map they all completed.


As I said at the beginning of my post I don't know how feasible this would be to put into play but; I think you would have to agree it does cover all the aspects you’re looking for, even if some of it may be a dream waiting to come true.

Event Name: Guild Wars!

Being we are still not PVP, lets have some fun for players of all categories..

Guild Armageddon

Guilds fight bandits, winning guild is guild who defeats most number of bandit camps in 1 week. Bandits from adventures and islands all count (including leaders also of course)

Guild Kamizkaze

Guild who kills the most units in a week wins! BUt has to be THEIR units!

Example might be

Recruit - 1 point
Bowman - 2 Points
Militia - 3 points
etc etc

most points wins! This way encourages guild to battle more!

Guild Construction Wars

Guild who has most new buildings in a week

Guild Resource Wars

Guild who generates the most resources in a week

Guild Buffer

Guild who buffs others in their own guild the most. Self buffs do not count.

Guild Level increase.

Guild who increases the most level of levels in one week, all members..encourages guilds to get some lower level members and help them level up

And my favorite

Guild lowprofile race

Give the most resources to lowprofile wins

To be honest, I am all tapped out on contest ideas. I can say this much. I am tired of the subjective contests and the random number contests. Let's get a leader board established so that there is something to compete with.
The only contest I could suggest that may be guild oriented is some kind of treasure hunt.
If it turns out to be a creative contest of some sort, I think I am sitting this one out.

Weekly island beauty contest. Put a screen shot on a new thread every week. Have a poll the next week and the community votes on. Can win over and over if that's what the community thinks is best but that's unlikely =) Top 3 get like 50 gems or something little like that.

I started a game to get people/forum dwellers involved, joke around, have fun and get to know each other involving posting youtube music videos......

When PVP starts this would not be such a good idea if they allow you to attack other islands....it all depends on what happens

PvP will not involve your home island. Sooo....

Guild Scavenger Hunt Event

Guilds would field members for a team to represent the guild.

To be fair to the smaller guilds, and non-guilded members, there could be a similar event using teams containing unaffiliated players and members from multiple guilds. (Like a Katealyst team and a MrGrimm team)

The players would be classed by levels.

There would be a random drawing to decide what resource in what amount was needed to complete that round of the hunt.
(Higher levels may need to find cannons or crossbows, etc.)(Next lower level, granite, exotic wood, perhaps certain adventures)
(Lower level players on the team may just need to produce a random resources such as horses or hardwood)
(The lowest level members would need to find basic resources)

The items each level need to provide to complete their section of the Scavenger Hunt would be level appropriate but could be found by explorers or produced by players.

There could be a set time for teams to deliver the required items.

A twist on it could be putting it into a single elimination tournament format that carries over from week to week.

Another twist could be that the items each level of the teams must produce could be given in the form of a riddle. Thus players would have to solve the riddle to know what the correct item is.

The idea is to make the event challenging.

The idea is to make the event challenging and ongoing through weekly rounds with prizes culminating it a grand finale with some awesome 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes.

You could even add a decorative trophy item that Grand Prize winners could place on their islands.

Development Events

How about putting out some special adventures that explorers can find?

There could be a limited number of them and they could be level appropriate.

There could be a round of prizes just for finding them.

Then there could be a random number of limited special items gained in the rewards when actually completing the adventure.

Finally, there could be the Grand prize item found in only one of the special adventures that would determine the Ultimate wnner.

Development Event

There could be a prize for the 2,379th player to trade horses during a time period.

How about a prize for upgrading a certain type of building?

how about a hidden item that is revealed when you build on a certain spot?

I'm not really sure how the developers do what they do, but it would encourage player participation if there were random rewards for doing everyday things.

Sorry to burst your bubble but your ideas include changes in which the US GMs cannot due without German developers ok. I think Katealyst wants something thats simplistic and easy to manipulate as a GM.

btw all you guys coming up with ideas that require changes to the game probably won't happen. also a lot of the guild ideas would cater to those who spend the most money. doesn't make sense to give the big spenders even more gems. need something everyone can compete with, without making it too complicated.

Do a contest where you complete the following sentence "You know you play CEO too much when......" Or "You know you are a CEO expert when......" This is based off the "You know your a redneck if...." jokes.

Unfortunately Sango is right. I am looking for events that I can run with the current system in place without requiring changes or help from the dev team. They are super busy trying to get new features in!

What about an invasion event? It should be opt in, i.e. you choose to participate, where random bandit camps are placed throughout your empire. The first participant(s) to clear their island win.

how about a wishing well event, where each guild leader has well palced on their land and visitors and themselves depsoit resources in it the guild with highest reosurce sin wishing well at end wins prizes for everybvody
