On the Castle Empire team, we are always looking to produce new guides that players will find valuable. The question is, what guides are you hoping to see? Let us know what you would find valuable in the comments below.

I find the player created guides very helpful. Sometimes they are not 100% accurate though (like when people thought sending two waves of attacks was beneficial somehow). After playing for 32 levels I feel like the game is fairly easy to figure out if you're willing to do a little research on the forums. The only thing I can think of that was confusing while I was trying to learn how to play (and I've seen several others ask about on the forums) was how population worked (what Idle Settlers were, how to get them to work, etc).
Maybe a guide on how to grow your population and what it means that they are idle vs working vs a trained army unit.
I am thinking about trying to make a map placement guide. The map is a simple grid (most buildings are 2x2), so it should be possible to make an image that shows all possible locations for buildings.
In fact, with some effort, you could make a website where you could drag buildings around and test different layouts, and have it tell you times and other similar things.
the only problem i see with making guides for new players is that there is a extreamly small % that actually read the forum before lvl 17. i would like to see guides targeted twards us high lvl players. such as rewards you get from adventures with specific % chance of getting said set of resorce
also bombcar imo that would just take what little stratagie out of the game for anyone. i worked my bum off to get what i have for a pro setup and ran numbers and calculations. up until about 2 weeks ago when Greywolf gave me his resorce calc to test i hadnt used anything but a piece of paper and pencil. please dont do that what u suggest. totally ruin the game for anyone who wants to acutally play it.
also katelyst i am not a facebook or twitter user. i would appreciate more than a 5-10 min warning on the home page about the maintences. it has happened for the past few weeks that there isnt even a maintence sceduale up until after the maintence has already started. it gets int the way of my advens and buffs when i am not updated. please help a sister out and let me know.
Everyone should keep in mind that there is a difference between a "guide" and a "solution." If there is too much information out there on the best way to do X or Y then every player will have identical islands and fight battles in the same ways.
Of Course Ninjet. Unfortunately, last night we had some major server issues. This brought the game down 4-5 hours earlier than expected without any warning. We seem to have fixed the problem, but I will try to warn everyone well in advanced when we have downtime and I have knowledge of it.Quote:

Does CEO have a Alert Warning system, like some MMO browser games, kinda like a stock ticker that scrolls across the top screen giving out game info or system issue warnings.Quote:

It would be nice to have a webpage (on your site, not a fan site) that lists every building type and their information (level to build, materials required, what they make, time to make, etc). On a similar page it would be nice to see all the army unit types and their information. Maybe some of the most common enemy units as well (I realize some enemy units should be "surprises" so you wouldn't need to list every enemy type.
That is available here on the german wiki. If you use chrome it will translate it for you and has great information on buildings and their levels and what they can produce.
Yes, I think it would be nice if it was on their own website. Not a fansite or the german site.
