Worst thing about this adventure is you MUST lose 70 Cavalry. There is no choice, trust me, I tried.

Starfire I think your recruit total is short the recruits lost in 1st wave of witch tower. should be 524-553 recuits losses. You can block camp C5 limit losses by 40-50 recruits.

Hey Fresh, do you understand all the mechanics of blocking, cause for some reason I don't seem to be getting it. And you were right about it being short. That has been fixed.

Also, you do not need 260 calvary....200 is fine....You just loose the 70 at the end...

Why is it necessary to lose 70 cav?

I am not claiming to be an expert on blocking but I had successfully block C5 three times. It requires two generals. You send the first with 5-10R at camp C5 and then send the second general at L4 with either of Starfire's configurations(100R/100S or 130R/70S). You need to time it correctly so the first general engages the camp C5 just before your second general enters C5's halo. If 1st general is engaged with camp C5 the 2nd general will slip by and can attack L4 without you having to defeat camp C5. You will lose the 5-10R you sent with your 1st general and he will have to recover but you can save maybe 50R overall.

***It is possible to block C5 using your general and 1R but your timing has to be absolutely precise***

Thanks Fresh, so the blocking needs to be occurring as the 2nd general enters the blocked camps aggro range. And the amount of troops determines the amount of time the camp is blocked.

Because otherwise, even 200 S sent at the last camp will die without killing anything. But cavalry attack the weakest first, not the witch.

Starfire, I was talking about blocking camp C5 and attackign camp L4. Once you defeat camp L4 in one wave, which is possible, camp C5 will disappear since you defeated the area leader. Then you can proceed to Witch Tower following your attack sequence. The recruits you save are only those lost at camp C5 which is 57 at best.

Fresh, and others. You can double block camp 5 with 1 recruit per general. You don't need 5 recruits. The timing is 'nerve reckingly close' but I've done it several times.

FYI, for slot 6 I got the "Crates" decoration. Not sure if that is supposed to be the item listed as "Cases" in the rewards chart or if it is different.

Also, the last two times I ran this I skipped L4, and ended up only receiving 3771 exp each time, which is 1892 less than the full 5663. I think the part you mention about it being worth 860 is wrong.

However, I'm new to adventures, so there may be more to it. Is there anything else that would deduct from the total xp or is it just leader camps?

Hi, that's not right. For example:
1: 100R 80B
2: 100S 100LB
would work.

^ According to your battle sim link, it does work but you will lost 100S + some LB which I believe cost way more beyond 70 C + some S . There are more than 1 way to defect that camp, it's just which way is the most efficiency in term of cost of your military

Is there an easier way to write this as a guide for inexperienced members? I'm having a really hard time following the guides and recommendations as to what to use in terms of soliders/recruits etc and how to do blocking and when to do it... it doesn't quite make sense to me.

If you're an inexperienced adventurer, you should just focus on completing the adventures first, without worrying about blocking. Nothing wrong with killing troops to gain resources & experience. Starfire's maps are awesome, just match the camp label to the text, pay attention to where the general should be for the attack, and follow the guide. Use the alternative troop configs if those are the troops you have available.

Aanother question --- how do you read the potential winnings within the various slots? Is it you get one item from each?

Correct, and the %'s listed are your odds of that item coming up.

Camp L4. 100R, 20M, 80S. Lose 100R, 5-20M. A bit cheaper than soldiers in my opinion.

If you have xbow troops, you can also 2 wave this camp. w1. 120R w2. 200A. A total loss of 120R, 0A.

On L4 with new general send 80 bowmen, 100 long bowmen, 20 militia, and 50 recruits

Losses 35 bowmen to shadows
50 recruits and 10 militia to others

I did this mission with my new Veteran. Took out 220C/30R to deal with L1, C1, L2, & C2 sequentially. Then used 100R/150S to take out C3 then L3 again sequentially. Understand that attacking L3 with less than 55R will cause you to possibly lose Soldiers. I took out C4 & C5 with 60R/120C/20LB with separate normal generals. I skipped L4 and moved on. First wave 210R/40C. You lose more recruits but you save Calvary. I then attacked with 100R/60C/90LB. You could replace 20R with 20S because there is a chance to lose Calvary but then you risk losing soldiers. I think you could possibly reduce the number of loses by using the veteran to take out C4 & C5.

Should this comment go near the first leader camp? Or at least before L3 because that's a 50 recruit loss.

The objectives of the adventure are to defeat the bone tower. Since leader camps have no aggro range, they do not need to be defeated. This will not change your loot. It will, however, reduce the XP gained.

U can opt to lose 132 bowmen instead of the 70 cavalry on the WT ... PROVIDED u have xbows avalable :

if you follow the table and send 60R and 140LB to C5 you will lose 60R 40LB

Here are a few alternative attack methods I came up with while doing this adventure. Requires fewer Soldiers (80) and you don't lose any. Instead you lose cheaper Militia (7-36). Further below is what I used with a veteran general.

I have beaten Witch of the Swamp, but the program has frozen and will not let me finish or collect the rewards. How can I correct this glitch
