Goods can be lost on accepted Trades if storage cannot hold the item

:mad:I recently accepted several trades for 400 horses, paying 20gc for each stack. When I checked my inventory, however, it showed only 700 horses. I then realized my storage capacity was only 700. I had completely forgotten about the storage limit. Essentially 900 horses went off into 'Neverland' because my storage was full but my gold coins were still sent to the seller. This is not necessarily a "bug" but some message/warning should be given to the player before accepting a trade that his/her storage capacity will not accomodate the proposed trade. I lost over 60gc on these trades with nothing to show for them...ouch!

Did you check your star? I do believe we had a patch that causes trade overrun to go into the star. Now, its possible that I am reading that patch wrong, so if anyone knows the answer speak up.

Copied and pasted that from the Patch Notes thread. I was going to try to see if traded items went to my Star Menu but I do not have anything near cap at the moment. Fir Logs will be there soon, will see what happens.

The Star was the first thing I checked...they weren't there either. I did a Refresh also, but still no joy. The incident happened yesterday and I STILL can't find them.

That only works for star menu items you are placing in your mayors house.

When use items from my star menu to my mayors house but my that item is full, the remainder just goes back to the star menu.

It's true. I had the same thing happen. Someone sent me 400 horses and my stock was full. I never got them and the person who sent them never got them back.

I probably shoulda sent a bug report or something but it didn't bother me that much haha...but I guess it should be sent back to the sender at a minimum.

Confirm. If a kind of goods in your warehouse is reaching its limit,i.e.beer, and you accept a new trade of beer, they will not go into your star menu (they're gone). However, if they are already in your star menu they will be sent back to star menu. This already exists since few weeks ago.

I had this happen too. Intended to decline a trade, but accepted. The resources went away as I was capped.
Previously, when there wasn't room in storage, the item would reappear in mail. Not this time.
