I know that dogs and other first strike units will attack regular bowman before longbowman, but does anyone know which will be attacked first by normal initiative troops?
If they have the "Attack Weakest" Trait, then they will do just that.
If not, I believe the targeting goes Recruit, Militia, Soldier, Elite Soldier, Cavalry, Bows, LongBows, Xbows, Cannons
This has been my experience as well- and you can use this to your advantage when you need to load up a few x-bowmen and can use regular bowmen to distract the first strike units.Quote:

Thank you both for help, I was hesitant to send archers to their deaths just to get an answer and now I don't have to.
