I think we should band together and take up a collection to get the people that do maintenance a new clock. I think theirs is broken.

Wow... i hope they give us some sort of credit for unexpected downtime... I didn't turn any of my buildings off and will be losing a few hundred gold tonight....
Mine too.. Getting 'Server call failed' and 'Unable to connect to server' as it shows the initial login screen.. I've got stuff to do before servers come down for maintenance!!
How they handle this one will be pretty indicative of what kind of customer service experience we can expect in the future lol.
would the server being down also effect my abiliy to veiw players pictures? I can see their signatures, but not pictures that they add.
I think it turned inside out and exploded and I dont blame it lol poor server..

It's hard enough prepping and stocking up enough buffs/mats every wed. night w/o having ninja maintenance.
3/7 is a wednesday, not a thursday too. the guy that posts the server maintenance message on the main page needs to put the pipe down.
I think they should give us some free gems for the server being down early. I got home from work 20 min ago and only needed 45 min to an hour to set stuff up. Most of my mines are or will be depleted and I'm losing valuable items because my explorers are waiting to explore!!!!!!!!
Best thing to do imo is find another game to play!

length of downtime doesnt bother anyone NEAR as much as the randomness of it and with no warning - or in this case terrible warning

A. Maintenance Thursday
As you may already know, this Thursday maintenance will be very unusual.
In order to reduce the lag and make it easier for players to access/log into the game, BlueByte will be physicaly upgrading some of the hardware on the servers.
BlueByte wants to start having maintenances very early in the morning so that most players will no longer be affected by them.
So with this in mind, the maintenance has been scheduled to start at 04:00h GMT and should finish around 14:00h GMT. The hardware change and update will make this one much longer.
During this time the website and forum might not be available at all
We don't have any official info yet on the future times of the maintenance, but it should be around 04:00 to 08:00h GMT on Thursdays.
im still getting server call fail and heving to relog every 30 secs to a min havent been able to play for 3 weeks now
