it's not moderated enough. there's been a huge number of spammers flooding global with no end in sight. if you were banned from chat, then there was a reason behind the ban. if they banned just for the fun of it, everyone would've been banned already.
Under-moderated... after my first week of playing I stopped going to Global. I would go if it was game related. Seems like the only game related discussions in the channel are the people advertising adventures and wares for sale.
But honestly, the main reason I avoid GC is because one too many times the discussion has been a bit too vile. For example, someone stated they wanted to urinate on a 12 yr old (who was in the channel) - that was the final straw for me. I attempted to use the ignore command, but when I typed /ignoreadd username, it said "this user cannot be ignored". Ignoring users needs to be in the context menu when you click on their name.
While typing up this reply, I flipped over to GC to check it out, and it has been fairly clean. Guess I'll give it another shot, but I'm willing to bet its because I'm on at 1:26 AM and all the kiddies are in bed because its a school night.
That's the response for typo'ing the username. I agree the ignore command should be on context menu. At a minimum, the error message should be made meaningful. Perhaps, "That username not found, please check spelling and try again."Quote:

Hey all,
I am locking this threads as I would prefer we didn't talk about bans on the forums. If you were unjustly banned, please contact the Customer Support team. They should be able to get back to you within 24 hours.
Thanks,
Kate
