Message/chat window bug

I usually play on a laptop, 1280x800 resolution. Occasionally in the message window (where Global chat, Trade, News, etc) when I click the button in the upper-right to close it, instead of closing, it shoots open all the way up so high that I can no longer access the controls at the top to close it. There is no scroll. I don't see an option to control the window any other way. This means I have to quit to reboot the screen. Maybe move the window controls down to the bottom, or offer some other way to close that window, or fix the bug.
