my aunts bday is on april fools day. when she wss younger, my 5 aunts and mother played a prank on her. they made notes and placed them all over the neighborhood telling her to go to different places to find her present. when she finally arrived at the final destination, there was a very large box. inside that box was naother box, and so on and so on. finally when she arrived at the last box, there was a final note saying, APRIL FOOLS! that was it.
I'll go to the Apple store and say i want to buy an iphone 4s and an ipad....then i will aske a hold bunch of stuff...in the end, i say i'm not buying any more lol
last year after going out to the bar i posted on facebook that a car had drove through a stop sign, clipped me and drove away. i had posted this at 2:30 in the morning and said that i wasn't really hurt, just a few scrapes and a sore hip. I was flooded with messages asking about the car to see if it could be tracked down, people offering to drive me to the hospital just to be sure there was nothing actually wrong. It was not until well after Supper time that i admitted it was a April fools joke. Needless to say many people were not happy with me for a long while.
As far as i know the largest April fools joke that has been pulled off, is the creation of Canada's third territory Nunavut, that was formed in 1999 on April 1st. The Canadian Government to this day still claims it is a true territory, though i still remain dubious of it still.
I baked a 6 layer cake, cut out the middle of all but last layer, put in a balloon, filled the balloon with water, topped the cake with last layer. Iced it professionally so it looked like a store bought cake. Gave my brother a knife to cut it. We shared the birthday party as we are only 11 months apart. He cut the cake, it exploded drenching him completely with water and cake and lots of icing. It was fabulous. You should have been there, lol.
Let your mum or dad go to a store to buy a movie that didnt came out yet :)
Tell someone they can see their 3d television without the glasses by just putting a silk scarf over the screen. It doesn't work. April fools.
True story, my husbands father was called and told that his son was being born in Michigan, he was in North Carolina. His father told the person that called him that he was very funny, and went to work. The joke was on him though, cause the caller was telling the truth, his son (my husband) really was born on April Fools.

One year I got my roommates back by putting a clear hair-tye over the spray hose on the sink! I had to leave early for an internship that day, but apparently one of my roommates got up to make coffee, and when she turned the sink on got sprayed! lol, she then thought something was wrong with the faucet and proceeded to soak her again!!! I guess she tried at least one more time before waking up my other roommate to see if she had pranked the sink! I got home early from my internship and my roommate filled me in, I only wish I had been able to see it or tape it!
I worked for an engineering firm and one April fool's day morning I went in to see my boss. He was busy working on his computer. I talked with him for about 10 minutes. I felt like he wasn't really paying attention to what I was saying. So I went back into my office and called him and told him, I'm not feeling well and won't be able to make it in to work today. He got a little angry because I was suppose to go meet a client at a job site and he was getting ready to start cursing. When I hit him with the April fools. As I suspected he wasn't even paying attention that I was just in his office talking to him about going and meeting the client.
I call my mom and tell her I lost my job...she can never tell when I'm serious or joking around anyway.
Last April Fool's I changed my husband's birthday date on his facebook page and everyone was wishing him Happy Birthday.:cool:

I'm a night time janitor, for the public school system, and I have a pretty good prank to divulge. Last year, we decided to nail the teachers, so we swapped out the sugar in all of the sugar shakers in the teachers lounge, and replaced it with salt. Like 3 students got suspended that day, I think the teachers were pissed.
I put light light coffee in my brothers cereal instead of milk, ( He hates coffee)
I once tricked my brother into thinking he was late for school on a saturday. It wasn't that hard because he was used to being late... I set his alarm and when he woke up i told him he overslept and he was going to be late for school. While I pretended to leave on time, my father was in on it and kept hurrying him saying, "if you get in trouble for being late your ging to be grounded!" He proceeded to rush around the house getting ready and as he ran out the front door i surprised him outside yelling, "April Fool's!" he looked so stunned, then tackled me, we wrestled for bit... afterwards he said "i'm going to get you back so good!" he never did, but tries every year.
I plan to call my boss this Sunday morning (yes, I work Sundays...) and tell her I've just won the lottery and I'm not comming to work anymore. She will buy it because last few weeks I've been telling her how I started playing lottery online, and she will rush to the store first, and then to the office in panic and not fully woken up (because it's her Sunday off) and... when she sees me there I will pray I still have my job.
If you get milk in cardboard containers place some food coloring in it and wait until the person pours some for cereal / coffee in the morning.

By brother looks very similar to me even though 2 years younger. To save money, our mother cut our hair we we both looked even more alike. As an April fools joke, he and I exchanged coats and I sat outside with my back to the door and when my mother came outside and called for my brother I ignored her. When she got really angry, thinking I was him, I turned around and mentioned that he was in the basement. The shocked expression on her face when she realized was almost worth the trouble we got into.
Two students at the local high school got into the school after hours and released three goats. They each had a sign attached to them labled #1, #2 and #4. After the school officials finally caputured the three goats, they spent hours looking for #3.

get tht foamy stuff in a can (i did wht its called but u can use it to seal things or 4 insalation) and just put it in the vent holes in a school locker and spary as much as possible without having it show outside. then the nxt day itll b a pain in the but to openXD
Get a persons toothbrush wet and place some salt on it and let it dry and make sure you clean up any that you can see easily.

OK all's you have to do is get someones toothpaste bottle and fill it up with lets say apple juice while the toothpaste is in their and dab a little toothpaste on the front and when squeeze he/she squeezes it apple juice and toothpaste everywhere.
Years ago, my neighbors and I pulled one over on our boastful, know it all neighbor. He had just bought a brand new car and was loudly explaining all the nifty gadgets and stuff that came with it. At night, we would sneak over to his car and add 5 gallons of gas to it. He started talking about how great the gas mileage was in his new car. He hadn't filled it in a week. We did this for about a month. then we'd sneak over and siphon out 5 gallons each night. He took it to 3 different mechanics explaining how he used to get over 100 miles to a gallon, now he has to fill up every other day.
One practical joke a sibling and I played on one of our parents when we were younger was that we got the keys to their car and changed the radio station to something we knew they'd hate and then set it up so that when their car started, the windshield wipers would also start. When they got into the car the next time and turned it on, they thought the car had gone haywire or something and were in a panic over it (as they had just gotten it repaired).
When we started laughing about it, they figured out we must have known what happened to the car or were behind it though.
My aunt worked in the executive department, for Nordstrom, for years. Often times they would have office parties and other activities which would require volunteers to bring certain food items and other party favors.
Her office organized such a gathering, in celebration of valentine's day, one year and she was nominated to bring a food item. To keep it simple she decided to make soft tacos. Simple, easy, no fuss, no muss.
Being young and overly mischievous, I told her that it would make the whole thing more thematic if she used some food coloring to make the soft shells pink. Her eyes lit up with excitement. "That's a great idea, Joseph!" she exclaimed to me, as my brother and I shared a humored look.
Sure enough, the next day, she left for her party with her freshly prepared ingredients and soft shells dyed pink... Needless to say, when she got home she was seething mad. So embarrassed. I've never heard the end of it for nearly 25 years now.
She'll never let me live down the day i put the idea into her head to serve her pink tacos at her valentine's day office party. But in my defense, i didn't force her to do any of it. I just thought it would be funny if she did... and, oh boy, was it ever funny. My family still gets a laugh out of it. I hope you all do too. It's truly classic :)
KITTIE LITTER CAKE
Make a cake. place in plastic kitty litter type box ( an new clean one duh)
crumble graham crackers and sprinkle green food dye.
Get 2-3 tootsie rolls. Warm 10 seconds in microwave, then shape into "cat droppings"
Place in on and around the "kitty litter" box.
when a buddy comes over, reach in, grab a handfull then start munchin!!

I have done all kinds of April Fools jokes but the one I remember the most was when I REVERSED an April Fools joke attempted to be played on me by my son.
So in the afternoon while working in the office, I was on the phone and my son comes down screaming ....
"Dad dad there has been an accident in the front of the house !!!!"
I told the person I was on the phone with there was an emergency and would call them back.
I hung up and dialed 123 ...
then said, "Yes 911 .. we need an ambulance and police to ...123 Anystreet "
"My name is John ... my phone number is ..."
my son tried to interupt me ..
I yelled "QUIET - I am on the phone with 911"
he goes - "NO DAD no it was only a joke."
I said - "YOU STUPID MORON ... why would you do that ?"
He said, "Dad it is April Fools day and you always get me!"
I said,"That is just NOT funny, you do NOT do stupid jokes like that!!"
"I am sorry Dad"
I said, "Well you phone 911 back right NOW and explain to them your stupid joke."
Then I could not hold back the laugh anymore ....
My son says, "You stupid $%#@ - I hate you."

Post a note at the entrance to work stating Not to use your computer until the IT guy arrives and empties the Bit Bucket. I had over half the office staff looking for work while they waited.
When some one is sleeping you tie a string to a shoe and the string to there big toe. Then you throw the shoe at them ... they should wake up and throw the shoe back causing the string to pull tight on there toe.
