Easter Event Delayed

SPRING EVENT DELAYED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The Rabbids have run amok in our Easter event creating all sorts of trouble in Castle Empire. It seems these crazy Rabbids cannot be trusted, and in protest of a bunny-laden Easter holiday they have created all sorts of problems in the latest version of the game. Therefore, the newly-named Spring Event will be delayed until further notice.

Our development team is working extremely hard to fix the issues in order to deploy the event and new features. Unfortunately, solving the technical issues that were discovered in last week’s patch has proven difficult, and rather than risk deploying a version of the game that could cause any downtime, we have decided to delay the event until we are certain the fixed version of the event meets our – and your - high quality standards.

As always, our goal is to be as open as possible with you, the fans. We will keep you updated with new information as soon as we get it. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

UPDATE:
After the Rabbids invaded our Easter event and took down our server for an extended server outage, they started to feel bad. In return for causing all sorts of trouble, they have dropped by your empire and left some goodies which can be found in your mail. These necessities will go a long way in helping to get your Empire back in tip top shape. Consider this their official apology for the server downtime and delayed Spring event.

Will the event be extended by the amount of delays? There's a lot of great content there and it will be a shame to see it go to waste.

is there a way to find out if my ticket for the 12 hour unexpected downtime has been addressed?

Its nice to know that the BB team knows and cares
A lot games that I unfortunately played, would port an update another server without even double checking if the game was functional
The local 'development team' for a lack of a better word wouldn't even double check the patch. Experienced players who know what the patch is like on other servers would cry and wail not to update the game at least until the bugs are fixed but they would update the patch anyway...

In case you guys don't know the German servers were not as fortunate as we were. They got the patch first before we did, and they encountered a bug where generals sent on adventures would "disappear" and would not return.

Odd that that crept in with the easter quest since the egg hunting doesn't require Generals.

OK so the Easter event will be delayed.. no big deal...but you should at least put a guild bank or the move function or even one or two of the new items in the game keep us entertained with some new things to keep our mind off the event not coming until who knows when..just saying give us something to do other than the same ole same ole jazz.

The whole point is to not have down time from these bunnies, Thats why there is nothing to compensate..

im not asking for compensation just asking for something new to hold us over ya know at east the daily quests

My only complaint about a delayed easter event is, What exactly is the test server there for? I played with the easter items there and didn't seem to find to many issues with it honestly. Don't get me wrong I'm glad it was announced that it would be delayed before hand this time instead of the day of. I'm also sure that there are always unexpected problems just disappointed I suppose...was lookin forward to this event as the last event (christmas) I just started playing and a little rookie that couldn't do much for the event lol.

Delayed indefinitely is a little scary, I think a lot of players have started planning their play-style around the eventual arrival of this event. Let's say the event gets delayed past the original end date, would the event be cancelled entirely?

Yeah, i am one of them players who was planning stuff around the easter event... namely.. i'v held off upgrading some bread makers until i got a watermill via eggs.. :(

The Easter event is been postponed, well that’s good. I play on the German server. It was a real screw up. Down time, General lost in cyber space, updates, hotfixes, players spending up to three hours trying to log in, adventures that wouldn’t end. A real mess………
What is the test server for? We’ll never know.
Thousands of posts in the forum. I suggested taking the game down for as long as it takes to fix properly. Someone else voiced the idea; BB should delete the whole game and reprogram it from scratch…….

After this fiasco I’m going to wait and see how the game runs before I buy any more gems.

Thank you for the neat pile of loot. It goes a long way in making us feel you really care about us the poor players. Sounds like the Germans really got the short end of the stick.

We got the same compensation without the gems. I know it's only a game, and a free one at that, but it is annoying when your Islands economic planning goes all haywire. On the German server I'm lvl 39, so I do enjoy the game. But sometimes I could ....*****...... if you know what I mean. ;-))

In the test server the Lucky Charms were "persistant"...after the 48 hour period of use they wud regen to be used again...over and over...is that true on the live server...or do I have to wait 48 hours to find out..???

Thanks for the Great Gifts. Yes it was sad and all not having Easter visit us. Things happen and at least we get to login and play and not wait a week or 2 weeks with game downtime. Scripting bugs can really be a huge pain to fix. Ive seen my brother spend hours upon hours at times fixing issues as he is a programmer. Ive watched him do it too and it looks like gibberish to me lol. But anyway, even if Easter is over with I still want to do the Easter stuff so looking forward to it Ubi :) Please dont cancel this event. Im ready for the Eggs :) Hope there's some tasty Chocolates in some of them hehe :)
