Hours worth of work Reset

I logged in about an hour ago. Did the Usual send geologist's out and rebuilt farms. I also sent out a general to an adventure and sent out resources to a guild mate and put 3 hours worth of troops in training and started sandwhich and basket buffs in provision house

I decided to reboot my pc and when I logged in everything I had done was reset like I had just logged in for the day. My general was at home, no troops were training, provision house was not doing anything, Geologists were at home and all resources i traded were back in my account. I also had to rebuild all farms. Not sure if this is a bug or a technical Issue.

I actually had something similar...swapped a stack of baskets with a buddy and its like they didn't even take. Come back 45 minutes later as I stepped afk and didn't get his tells until I got back and he asked me if I was gonna buff him. It was definitely odd.

I just had a "reset" myself today, boy is that frustrating to lose hours of work and supplies! I logged on today, spent over an hour training troops, sending out my geologists for new deposits, built six mines, buffed many buildings, and sent out my explorers. I'm in the midst of an adventure, and spent some time on the adventure island (swamp witch) before sending one of my generals home with some troops. I stayed on the adventure island for awhile in the background while I watched some Hulu tv and tabbed into World of Warcraft. When I switched back to my empire from the adventure island about twenty minutes later, my empire had reset itself (almost) as if I hadn't logged in today. My deposits and the mines that I had rebuilt were depleted, my explorers weren't sent out, my troops I was training were gone, the buffs I had placed were gone, and my general and troop that I had sent back from the adventure was completely MIA. The baskets and sandwiches that I had used to buff before were gone as well as the "refill" settlers that I had used for troop replenishment :( I am not sure if the building materials I had used previously were gone or not. I did get another daily login bonus on the minorly plus side, and had new loots from explorers in my mail, though I am unsure whether these were on top of what I had gotten from before the "reset".

Update Edit: My missing general and troop showed up on my adventure island within an hour of the "reset" as if nothing had happened to him... I blame the Rabbids...

My trade tab disappeared after I had been playing an hour or two. I decided to relog and when I arrived back I had lost all trade rewards, explorers reset, no buffs on my island, had to rebuild all of the buildings that needed to be replaced. It was like my island had been reset to a few hours before. Lost a lot of resources and trades (since I lost what was given to me, but did not regain what was sent and lost what was spent on buildings, but didn't have buildings to show for it) and the baskets I'd traded to a guild member were not returned and the buffs I had received from the guild member had disappeared from my buildings.

I think the reset has to do with switching computers. I lost all 3 of mine +250 deposit I got from Rabbid Invade due to the bug reset. I used them on my gold mine when I was playing on my desktop. Later I used my laptop to check my account. The buff and building I build when I was using my desktop is all gone. Like I didn't do any of them. The +250 deposit are disappear as well. From time to time, my trade, world, help, guild tab disappear as well.

These happenings are refered to as rollbacks in certain circles... and it just happened to me. Except, before the rollback, I started a SFTR. Now, my generals are home, my work is undone but the adventure is no longer in my star menu. I believe what happens is the server hiccups and it restores the last point that it saved at. It used to happen ALL THE TIME on another MMO I play when the server would crash. Now they call them "scheduled restarts". xD

I just wanted to let everyone know that we are aware of this issue and we will be in contact with the development team once we have gotten all the needed information.

Good, I thought I was going mad.

I trained 50ish recruits, set 10 more to train, wondered where the chat & trade tab has gone, turned off, came back after some time only to find myself without those 50ish recruits. Possibly I'm missing some resources too, but I didn't examine my storehouse thouroughly.

thanks BB_MrGrimm, this has been happening to me all day, making me kind of crazy! good to know the team is working on it!

BB_MrGrimm - just one thing, what stinks is it is causing your timers to reset, so if you have an explorer out searching for 6 hours and if 2 hours have past or he has even returned the next time you log in he may not be back or you have more time left then you should.

I had this problem today too! I thought I was going crazy! Sucks, I'm all messed up with my building order now. Trying to figure out where I left off...

+1 for the original post. I had geos sent, provisions house orders, troops trained, buildings and mines built/buffed/upgraded, fields and wells built, explorers came back, sent back out. An hour later, logged back in to see do more and everything I had done was gone. So painstakingly repeated the process. Just logged back in about an hour later, and once again, everything is gone. :(

I know it's being worked on but just wanted to make sure it's known to be a system-wide issue.

One more Q: I had used a rabbit's foot and other buffs. So all this is happening in the middle of the buffs. Am I losing production time on those buffs? Will we get an update when this is resolved that explains what happened and what, if anything, we lost?

3 Generals sent to Dark Priests disappeared. Phone calls go direct to voice mail. Don't respond to twitter tweets. Haven't updated their Facebook page. Wife and children starving... Who ya gonna call ?? Ghostbusters !! :cool:

Second Update: Adventure replaced in star menu.

Is there an official news site for CE? I found this forum thread, which seems to have some official response, but I'm disappointed it's not listed on what appears to be the main "news" page for the game.

Originally I Played Dark Priest, twice to gain XP to move from 34 to 35. Got rewards, but no XP added. So I ask How many XP is needed to advance? Used Map Frags to get Traitor adventure. Thats where I lost 10 generals and now the adventure. rbarnhart

Lost a lot of resources and troops as well....

For me, the thing happened was my destroyed camps in my adventure keep on reviving. My troops keep changing their numbers and my general was back to the island after I sent him out for an hour or two. My mine's amount lowered down, went up then lowered down again, same for other resources. I only have one camp left in the adventure but I don't know if I really want to destroy it. The rewards may disappear too >.>

yea ******* ******** had the a bunch done and refreshed and it took me 3 hours back damb it fix this **** i used all the stuff u gave us this morning built a few building ooooooooooooooooo the gold mine is what is pissing me off 1050 on the mine and bang its gone .................... so yea send us more of the goods or go in ur main brain and put are **** back thank u if ur going to e-mail me just send it to my game because im on every day thanks hope u guy help us out here i mean we pay ur bills thanks AOA DEVER

Well, I can understand irritation, I am too. But that's just a bit inappropriate, don't you think?

Obviously we're all suffering here and BlueByte is aware of the problem. Most we can do is sit back and report what's happening.

I am fortunate to have not done anything in the last 3 hours, but I have many friends and guildies that are very upset. They have lost adventures, XP, Loot, Buffs, troops, resources, and quite frankly their patience. I see people that loved this game saying that they are going to be quitting now.

Come on, this is a Flash game, it is not rocket science or even C++ for that matter. First the times where people can not log in all day, then the delay of the Easter event, and now server rollbacks?? There is no excuse for this, I know the game is in beta, but since bluebyte is willing to take our money ($200 from me alone), they need to supply us with a stable product and communicate with us when there are issues. Come on guys, you are seriously dropping the ball and jeopardizing the future of a game that I enjoy very much.

Seriously though, DeuxMaximums was running Nords, he gets rolled back loses the adventure, the Generals and troops he sent and his fear of the outisde!!!!!
I am sure he lost more than this and everyone in my guild have had similar losses so far...

maybe they are getting some fresh air too. everyone needs a new perspective sometimes.

I would like to say this is just beta, but the beta's I have done (EQII, DiabloII, DAoC, DDO, Rift) come with free play and usually some neat rewards and speed ups for testing the game. This is not a beta this is a soft launch that they are charging for.

Maybe because Blue Byte is a division of UbiSoft they just do not care, or maybe they have too many little titles under development right now, but this game is not progressing fast enough for me and the content that is here is not getting fixed or addressed. I thought you had a nice market here BB for us older gamers that do not have the time anymore to play most games, there is not much out there for us.

You see I do IT work in the RL and man I can tell you your CQO, CTO, or CPO, whomever is in charge of product development is doing serious damage to your product offerings. A bad beta is worse, then an underfunded launch. You can spend more on the launch but the bad rep. in the gaming community is hard to overcome, without spending your way out (which that money could have been way better spent on a little more code in the beginning).

have all sorts of issues today but the worst is the loss of my adventure i started it set genrals and ate dinner came back genrals gone reset page genrals back by adventure is now gone.

Lost all my Rabbid items that I used (everything but the Rabbit lucky charms), lost 3 hours of rebuilding and deposit boosting. All buffs and boosters that were used from the star menu were deducted as used. However, due to the roll back, they were not in the star menu and their effects were rebooted to before they were applied.

This took place today during 1900-2200 hours, -5 GMT. Needless to say, I want my time and items back.

Beta lmao that is no excuse for this, most web games say there beta i know one thats been beta since 2008anytime you add it becomes beta again. ive lost 6 battle hard generals now for over 10 hours lost buffs, troops etc etc etc . i loved this game hence prolly why i invested over 500 in real money on it , but i lost my patients and bluebyte has now lost a paying customer peeps say im crazy for quitting at lvl 41 but im not the one who is doing the real quiting its your wannabe programmers who are not doing there part to keep folks like me here . product perfomance is only as good as the staff who put it out , in the 5 weeks ive been playing there has been a steady decline in game performance login errors, crashes , maint start 3 hours earlier then stated and lasting well over stated time, now rollbacks so everything i worked for today was for nothing 12 hours of my time wasted. idk, please fix and ill consider coming back til then ill be lookin for another game that works to invest in

well I think what BB should do is compensate each players with the losses they incurred during this mishap. BB dont want this to happen in the first place but to appease their players they should act fast in compensating.

I for one would like to get back my 27k xp from doing nords (i still have the battle reports if they want some proof), my loots (from the said adventure) and of course my 8 generals which are still missing (5hrs and counting). I don't really care about the production losses, it's the xp loss that sux.lol

only lost for 5 hours mine been gone well over 10 hours now 6 battle hard generals 1 of them made it back several times then the rollback hits and gone again

Rollback cost me two gens and all my troops being trained not happy not happy.

I just lost my chats and have not been getting daily bonuses as required. Please fix this.
