Upgrading Buildings

I had always assumed that the Provisions House, Mayor, and Barracks are not supposed to have the frozen state while upgrading because of how special they are. But my Provisions house is now frozen while upgrading thanks to the update last night "fixing" some buildings that don't stop while upgrading. Luckily I already upgraded Mayor and Barracks to level 5. I'd hate to see them stuck frozen for a week. Someone else will have to verify whether they get frozen or not, as well.

Is this intentional? Are we actually supposed to wait a week without being able to use the Provision house? I'm going to call this a bug because even though I know you want to stall people from leveling, this impacts being able to play and interact with people in a normal fashion way too greatly, in my opinion. Can we get a response on whether this is intentional or not?

They also fn stole everything that was waiting to be made, over 100,000 bread and countless other resources that took time to accumulate. Fn incompetent maintenance crew.

It is true you CAN NOT use your barracks or Provisions while they are upgrading .i will never see lvl 5 now .I just spent 5000 coins to not use it 24 hours! that is Not cool .

your not the only one Stirbei leveling up the provision house iam going to level 5 and i started it yesterday and i had no problems with it until today after the update and I to myself cannot use it as well and Iam not very happy about it and all i got was "Hello Tamm,

In which I have done so already, but i did so again and still nothing so Iam stalled for a week.

this was recently changed with the latest patch/update. prior to that, i was always able to use my provisions/barracks during the upgrading process.

me too zug...but it appears im dead in the water for a week this time...sux...:(

as i am also unable to use my provision house and stuck for another 4 days. i have upgraded the provision house to level 4 and have always been able to use it while it was upgrading, so now my fish will starve and so will my hunters, which is very costly since will now have to shut those buildings down or pay someone to put deposits on them. it took me a month to save the 5k granite and 9k e wood planks to even upgrade it to level 5, so at this point my barracks will stay where they are, how are you suppose to play this game if you cant train an army for a week? needless to say i am very unhappy with this scenario

ive been stuck since i started the upgrade at 12:00 p.m. yesterday i used a improved drill plan right before thinking it would still make it go faster and 2 my suprise it completely stoped producing men . i cant go do any adventures bevause i wont be able 2 ever ctch back up for a lomg while even with drill plans i cant do any adventures with other because u never know how many extra troops i might need it would b nice 2 know anything more about this provision/barracks houses. if they cant produce while upgrading they should take so long for the higher upgrades ive lost now a day and a drill plan over this already over not getting my men i need for experience and adventures. thank you for ur time and patience i understand u are trying 2 get what u can done either about educating us on new rules or if it is just a mix up

Stopping production on Provisions, Barracks, and Mayors (?, not sure about Mayors) house during upgrading seems over the top in far too many ways if this was an intentional change. It would also have been a nice courtesy to inform the players you were planning on doing this BEFORE the update happened so they could have planned accordingly or screamed long and loud enough to have even managed to change the dev's minds. If this is just a "bug" then I hope it is repaired very soon.

I'm glad my barracks is level 5 already. Wow.

This is a really stupid move on management's part. No announcement or anything. No reason given. I have my lvl 5 provision but will not get a lvl 5 barracks for a long time unless they fix this.
