Chat server down?

Somebody go kick the chat server...

No Chat server here or trade or much of anything besides the actual game.

I'm confirming it, I have the same results here!

I picked a good day to upgrade my barracks. I've tried several "all the way out" restarts, so it's not my cache or anything - chat server is completely down, i get to see my buildings about 1/4 of the time, most of the time i have nasty screen artifacts like flickering or the load screen sits on top of everything.

Same issue here...I can see part of my island, and I am able to go and work on adventure, but none of the chat features are working - no, chat, no trade, no whisper. Also, it doesn't show any of my friends or guildie mates as online - no green dot. Major server issue as I rebooted, cleared cache, and still nothing !!

Same here, my chat server is down, but my island is ok at least....

The chat server was down when I came back from afk. I tried to relog and now can't get on at all. All I get is flickering avatars.

Flickering Avatars, etc can be fixed by refreshing browser. Chat server can be fixed by BB members getting off their... (not gna say it) and getting it fixed. I can careless about global not being around for numerous reasons, but I NEED my trade tab, and I need it sooner than later! I think 500-1000 gc's as a "sorry" will make me feel a little better :D

Look guys this issue is getting old now. It has been occurring off and on for several months. I have the problem again today. I am able to login to the game and play but I can't use any of the chat tabs including trade, nor can I access any email or whispers. Please fix it or tell me how to avoid/get around it.

I have tried IE8 and 9, Chrome and Firefox, and I even tried logging in on a different network (different IP subnet,) all exhibit the exact same issue so it is not a browser issue but a game issue. Please resolve this.

The good news is I have 5 News tabs all telling me they can't connect to the chat server. Thank God for that tidbit of info.

yep same here, game works fine but cannot chat, access whispers/mail or trade. this makes the game a tad dull...

Same issue here as of 5/30/2012 at 1039am edt. I can access my mail and star menu as well as island and adv, but no chat system nor trade system.

Well this is a nice test of game maintenance. The longer these problems persist the worse it makes them look. Can't imagine this issue is overly difficult to resolve. The clock is ticking...

The worst part about problems like this (the chat server and trade being down again) is that your company provides no means for people to check on status, get feedback on progress or anything. A very very simple option on the home/login page to take people to a company feedback on server status could be implemented as so many thousands of other companies do.

Crashes happen. Technical Problems happen.

The lack of communication.... well it happens here.

I agree, an email notice would be helpful, or even just a note on the homepage.

Well I am having the same issue every few days. Today is one of those times. The biggest problem is that BB won't even respond to these threads, it's as if they are trying to avoid acknowledging the issue even exists.

any word on a fix for this. I am still unable to connect to the chat server.

Day 3 and no fix nor any response to my support ticket. Hey BB anybody home? I'll be quitting the game tomorrow if I haven't at least received a response to my 3 day old support ticket. Just can't support a company that ignores their players

over 2 weeks now and still not fixed. Thanks BB for nothing. Done now and moving on.

OceanHawk Have you cleared your cache and everything?

Try clearing your java cache.
