After the maintenance on Wednesday June 6th, the Euro Cup summer soccer event will begin in the Settlers Online!

The main resource you can gather during this soccer event is soccer balls. You can save up these soccer balls and buy buffs, buildings, and decorations in the shop.

You can get soccer balls as a

• reward for successfully completing the soccer adventures
• reward for the daily Soccer quests,
• shop-item in exchange for Gems.

The soccer balls will be listed in your mayor’s house under the category “basic“. They are tradable just like normal resources.

The monks have finally optimized the malt brew production! With the new friary building it is possible to replace 4 breweries of the same level. This building wastes no building licenses, but needs wheat and water for its potent brew.

Even though 5 building licenses are not enough to build your own soccer stadium, they will be very useful when you want to place some new production buildings on your island.

Who wants to watch a sporting event without snacks? With this tasty stadium snack your workers will be able to produce 4 times faster – for 24 hours. If you use this buff on a friend‘s island it will last 36 hours!

Question: On German servers, explorers can also find soccer balls, much like the eggs during the easter event. Will this be an available option to acquire soccer balls during this event? It wasn't listed as an option above. So wanted to ask for clarification.

Additionally, on the German server, event is said to last 28 days, will that be the case here as well? Thanks

So, it is still officially 'Euro'. Not to mention the name of the trophy pictured directly above the country flags. It wouldn't make sense to include country flags which are not participants in the actual Euro Cup. If it were 'World Cup', this would be an entirely different case.

Ok, I got the "doesn't make sense" down packed thanks to poster above me. As for the event, licenses/up to 5 Friary's/goodies....can't wait!!!

Rather than calling it a slang term for Jew or a slang term for smoking weed. But hey I am excited for the event either way. Please answer Xenith's questions as I think all of us would like to know.

This event will be on our main server. We were testing the event out on the test server to avoid any nasty bugs.

I will definitely make the request. As some of the above posters already stated, the flags that are included are the final teams in the European Cup. The Euro cup is a huge soccer tournament in Europe

From what I understand, this does not work like the Easter events and you cannot collect soccer balls in this way.

The event should end on July 5th.

it makes 4x what a brewery makes so at lvl 1 the friary makes the same amount of brew as a lvl 4 brewery

So this means no explorers finding soccer balls then? That severally limits what we players can get in the event. Starting to feel little like ploy to force us to buy gems so we have enough soccer balls to get the things we want.

if its the same as the test server u will gain them off daily quests..which you couldnt on the easter event

No US flag :( Sad considering this server is what 75% United States citizens ....

Yes it is in Europe, we know that - duh. But is Brazil in Europe, etc etc etc Easy to add flags for all countries that have or do compete in the FIFA WC, just like the Olympics (which is held in Europe a lot too). Oh yah qualify rounds for the contest are held in America and there are talks to hold a few rounds here too in an attempt to spark interest (they would be American rounds like Brazil vs the US, etc).

Stop with the comments about the US flag. Isn't it called the Euro Cup for a reason? Last time I checked on a map, the US wasn't in Europe.

Last I checked, the US has military bases in most European countries....please take all of these European countries flags and make them half their flag and half the US flag. Thx

I am a big soccer (football) fan and have been to matches before in europre; however, I do not want a foreign flag on my island. I second the idea about having the American flag. Since the Event goes through July 5th, make it where us Amaericans can get the old stars and stripes during the last week of the event.

As far as I can tell... Flags are not MANDATORY.
If you don't want one, don't buy a flag with your footballs.

As they say, I'm a Red-Blooded American; a United States citizen; a **** Yank. Born and raised in the very patriotic Southeastern U.S. But, for the life of me I can't understand all the requests for the flag of the United States to be included in this promotion. Good gracious people! It's a EUROPEAN SOCCER event! Blue Byte is a German company. Is it so surprising that they would incorporate a Europe-wide sporting event into their game?? We don't have a dog in this fight! Military bases or not, the U.S. DOES NOT have a team in the Union of European Football Associations! Leave it alone! Enjoy it for what it is and try, for once, to step outside your Americentric world view. I'm quite sure Blue Byte appreciates those of us on the Western side of the "Pond" being a part of their game. And, now that we've shown our ignorance of world geography and world sports, they may perhaps attempt to assuage our thin-skinned egos by offering a little U.S. flag in some future event. But I would have Blue Byte know that I for one do NOT want to see a Star-Spangled Banner in this event. There. I feel better. Let's go get a brew.
