Some friend buffs don't work without reloading

Be aware that some of your buffs of friends do not activate without the friend logging out and then back in.

My grandson & I often play together at my home. I've noticed on multiple occasions that my buffs for him or vice verse will register on the originating screen, but not on the one being buffed. Opening the one that should have been buffed shows in the details that it is NOT buffed. The buff doesn't show up until the one buffed logs out and then back in.
