Nice. I am trying to decide whether I should bother with Anselm or not. Interested to see what you come up with.
Anslem kicks behind in Dark Brotherhood, Stealing from the Rich, Valiant Little Tailor, Clever Little Tailor, Young Woodcutter, and Third Thief. I am sure he has his camps elsewhere too.
I ran Wisdom today, Anslem had some nice camps there, especially post-sac waves. Nusala and her 62 bowmen didn't make it past L1, I'm afraid to say, but Anslem cleaned up with 35MS 115Bes right after... the whole thing took 93 minutes with no assassins or catas used. Most of it was exact evil positions, just a few gens switched and the Nus sac wave, so his guide should be great when he gets to Wisdom.
Hi Evil_J - Can you check the Treasure of Knowledge guide when you get a chance? On the "old" guide the attack on C18 has a first wave of 65Cav (MMA) but the "vargus guide"has that wave as 1r (no particular general specified). I'm opting to use the Cav, but just wondered which was correct..
its on the attack list, you send 1r on a reg gen, then the 200ms gen, its a stacked block, saves the cav sac
The feedback on Anselm sounds really good, so I went ahead and grabbed him. Found a couple good camps on Wood Cutter already. I like Nusala, too, though, since I like to kill a lot of generals.
I got Anslem at Christmas, got Vargus yesterday. The two of them together save some serious troops.... freakin amazing combination. Gotta be careful with Nusala on loot spots. Took a SLT LS and with 1R she demolished the ranger/dogs camp, it was cool! Glad we didn't have to wait long to get all 3.
Sorry if this was answered before as I am having trouble searching. Final block on Second Thief using CoA guide, my L8 and L9 generals keep getting intercepted by camp 10, even though there are multiple generals queued on it for the block. It has failed for me twice. What am i doing wrong here?
UPDATE
- re-posted 2nd thief guide with a few typos fixed
- added WC coa guide, didnt use anslem on L3 for speed reasons, also would need to kill C8 with another general
- added wisdom guide with coa
- added blt coa guide
in the oven ive SLT, one step ahead and lost city, will post them soon
Thanks for the new guides. Question about the WC with CoA guide: Do you really need 404MM? I'm trying to see where you use that many at the same time.
yea newer guides are including a ton of troops for speed, like 753E for slt :)
putting the numbers that i need so we dont wait for a gen to come back to have troops to use on other gens
UPDATE
- added SLT guide with coa, has 2 new blocks and overall optimizations
- added lost city guide with coa, has 1 new block (thanks to the_brick for the original idea)
- added one step ahead guide with coa, overall improvements, made C18 block alot easier and saved troops there too
these guides are for adventures i dont run too often so i dont have them memorized, for that i decided to add the number of gens needed, im sure many will appreciate that :)
UPDATE
- added vlt guide with coa, 6.2h saved in barracks, not bad :)
In the guide for the Lost city you have the wrong number of recruits for camp 3, you have to use 150r to get away with no AM or MM losses.
Leader 2 need 2 attacks, 1 with 200R or 150B and 32MS 238MM
On camp 5 you have the wrong number of recruits to get away with no losses of MM, 160R gives no losses of MM.
Im afraid you have to go over your guide for The Lost City again
I have used the sim and used Evil J guide and I loose way more troops then I should do according to his guide, after attacks I have checked the troops sent so I havent done anything wrong and I have not, so something must have changed to get his guide this of in troop losses that I have experienced the first few camps I have attacked.
The Lost City works fine, and listed losses are correct.
If you do not apply Ritual Offering at the end of sector then your losses will not be the same.
As stated do sectors in order and apply rituals!
If you don't apply ritual offering in the sim it will also show losses different to what evils list.
Thanx for pointing that out to me, went to test server to check and you are correct and I was wrong. Thanx for the help.
One way to fix... use a tavern gen for x19, take out/skip the x20 gen (so no fast gen in stack), move the x21 gen to x20 location. Will work fine in this setup, but requires one more tavern gen at adventure, evil tries to avoid using more than three tavern gens so he can run back to back more quickly.
Note - you can remove the need for a fourth tavern gen by stacking two fast gens for the x9 1r sac, set the second 1R gen behind the first (we'll call him x9A), then send X9A, X9 to the block camp (back to front) and X10 to the leader.
I usually run it using the above... hope it makes sense...
KH
if thats the case in 2nd thief, the prob is you are sending attacks too slowly :) just use 1 regular gen instead of 2 bhgs and youll be fine
UPDATE
- added coa guides for HLT and CLT, fairytale guides done :)
saved 3.5h on clt, and almost 8h on hlt, not too bad
which one to do next...humm
These guides are all evil
UPDATE
- reposted BLT, WC and thiefs guides, added a note with the gens needed to bring, all the other coa guides already had this detail, and the next ones will have it too
- added coa guides for fisherman, hansel and pied piper, saved racks time was 9.7h, 17.5h and 11.3h respectively, not shabby at all :)
yey page 100 :)
Thank you for putting in the generals required as it does make things easier. I did find an error on Woodcutter just now. For L3 in the attacks list you have it listed as a Major, but in the description of attacks below as well as the block layout picture you have an mma. I assume this is because it was an mma for the previous guides. Just would like clarification on whether it is mma, major, or can be either.
can be either, i switched to major so we dont need any mmas for this guide, could be vet or log too
Thank you. Trying to get another 2nd thief to test King Homer's suggestion. Looking forward to the rest of your guides with the CoA. I am waiting to do another ToK.
Thanks for the awesome guides, Evil_J!
I have problems from a week or so on Woodcutter. The block on camp 7 (150MS and 10AM) is finishing seconds before the leader get killed. I am using this guide from months now, did more than 100 Woodcutters and never failed on me (SIM is showing 8-9 rounds). I will try the numbers from Corona88's guide for this camp (SIM always shows 9 rounds) and will post feedback.
I am running Besieged City with Vargus right now, and I think the number you report for Knights is wrong. The guide says you have to send 2202, but I haven't needed nearly that many.
UPDATE
- fixed a typo on SLT coa guide L6 W3, had too many units
- fixed typo on besieged vargus guide, had too an extra digit on number of needed knights
Lepi - that block on WC didnt change, cant tell whats the problem....
Evil_J, I checked the numbers and everything is like it was, but the third block finish few seconds before the leader more than 5 times on a roll for me. So I am using 144MS and 11AM now and for 4 times is OK.
UPDATE
- added red riding wood coa guide, saved a whooping 52.7h in barracks, mostly because of new tight blocks =)
- added snow white coa guide, saved 11.7h, not bad either
What is the reasoning behind the extra 1R block in the COA BLT? X12 in the section 4 leader block. Wasn't in the Vargus BLT....
