UPDATE
- added 2 debuffs guides for giant battle, and improved the normal one on some attacks, also skipped the old L8 camp as it wasnt needed and we can go around the old C4 now
based on the last posts please note, if you run regions with 2 debuffs guide, you gotta run the next ones with 2D guides too; if you run regions with 3debuffs you could run the others with 2, but that would be pointless because you wouldnt get extra loot
did some quick maths and heres an overview:
with prem, you get 675 extra ore doing with 2 debuffs after the whole chain is complete, but you lose 90 from not doing the extra quests on regions to liberate the 3rd hall, in the end you profit 585 extra obsidian ore
regarding losses, we save so many troops not liberating the 3rd hall that the extra losses after the whole chain are still less than what we save, we end up the chain with ~15h saved on barracks time
Just FYI: Concerning new 2 Debuff Giant Battle guide, there is a typo. L9 needs 81 Besiegers. They aren't included in the list at the bottom.
Regarding Giant Battle (Both versions)
Camp L6 - is not a Leader camp. It is a medium camp.
UPDATE
- added the simulator ive been using, dso sim, the german one, its very good
- added skill tree V2.0, all my next guides will use these skills, the changes are: nusala, dracul, vets and bhgs
about the skills, all the guides posted will work with both skills trees, but newer guides will only use the 2.0 version, new gens will be added only to the newest skills too.
nusala lost juggernaut, thats 60 damage lost, im not sure how much of a difference it will make but shouldnt be much to worry about
With Nusala losing confident leader, will that put any of the old blocks at risk?
Just a consideration:
Skills 2.0. BP CoA Skills v2.0 guides. May want to rename something or make sure they are clearly marked. Just thinking of the confusion that might take place. :-)
UPDATE
- added skills 2.0 guides for the whole MCC, overall the losses are higher, but the balance between both barracks is more even (335h on normal and 395h on elite)
So from the guides posted, these are the numbers for hours in barracks:
v1.0 3 debuffs - 891.56h (238.17 + 653.39)
v1.0 2 debuffs - 714.62h (225.48 + 489.14)
v2.0 2 debuffs - 730.37h (335.19 + 395.18)
Ive an average of 4 different guides for each of these adventures, so i think those are the numbers from the guides posted
The huge difference from 3 to 2 debuffs on v1 is so big because on the 2D guides theres alot more nukes, some of those are my 'evil runs'
Some ore numbers:
With 2 debuffs we get 585 extra ore after the whole chain, on premium
The whole chain on prem drops a total of 2224 ore for 2 debuffs, plus around 250 from the excelsior while spinning
Last time I ran through tPotM I couldn't but this time I could use assassin on L1, skipping C1 entirely. Worth adding if it's possible now.
That is already in the 2 debuff guide
Just completed my first MCC using the guides. Helpful as always. I was a bit worried about the losses when I first looked at some of the numbers, but they are pretty manageable. Elite barracks time at just over a week. If anything, the resource requirements are the bottleneck, as this is quite the resource sink.
The German sim is pretty good, and the hall of fame suggestions are useful. I was using TSO Maps, but that fell apart on Giant Battle.
What may be another stupid question from me please - what is meant by tagger/tag gen?
I've searched but can't find reference anywhere.
Concerning 2 Debuff Guide 1.0 for People of the Mountain:
I built the armory. I waited for the Specialized Weapons buff to be active. I sent the three waves to L7 (235c MMA, 122c MMA, 69MS, 216B Maj) to the stronghold. All generals are skilled appropriately. I lost 42 Besiegers.
I'm hoping that there is an explanation. I want to say this is the second time this has happened.
psssttt Evil...
At the Foot of the Mountain: CoA Skills guide, second block (B) you wrote Veteran instead of MMA (on notes)
UPDATE
- made changes to POTM and giant battle v2.0 guides
includes ballistas, mary, medic, scouting post
Nice savings with the 2.0 guide, and I really like the added use of Mary - thanks!
On L5, after the 93k MMA sac, an SV 265MM can be used for no loss.
The TSOMaps sim added check boxes for Specialized Weapons but does not seem to be applying it on this, so it claims a loss of MM.
Edit: Thanks for adding your booking for the Medic and MS. I stole 2 First Aid from my medic and put them in Fast Learner. I know this increases my barracks recovery time, but I have a lot of XP to gather yet :)
UPDATE
- fixed a typo on UR 2.0 guide
- added my personal guide for wisdom as a skills 2.0
Could I request an amazing guide by Evil_J please? :-) Would you make a Mary guide for the Woodcutter adventure?
It's an adventure that many run a lot of the time. Mary gives a lot of extra experience. Why not put 2 and 2 together?
Thanks.
I use Skill version and send Mary to knock down C2 with the same setup. Then kill a camp below C4 with 215MM. Kill C8 with the same setup as per the EJ's guide. Kill L4 with 37MS 74AM 104MM. Kill C12 with 215MM. This way I don't send MG and send Mary instead. All the same blocks are in place, only L4 has a different set of troops, which i mentioned.
That's what I do. If you've got the MMA/Nusala sacs to spare, you can also hit camp 6 or 11 with 215K for no losses if you kill (almost) all the mounted bowmen. This takes me 10 on camp 6 and 12 (9 + Nusala) on camp 12. My MMAs all have fast learner, though. I kill that camp below camp 4 as part of a block with camp 3/4/5/leader 2, per Hellvena's guide.
UPDATE
- made a few improvements to giant battle skills 2 guide
also finished a personal achievement
https://i.imgur.com/vXX94fG.png
so out of guides for MCC, thanks BB for the most fun adventures in the game ;)
after halloween there will be new guides for evil queen chain, have to finish that workyard, which is far from done :D
How are folks using the Mad Scientist general? He seems to be such a niche that he isn't really useful.
UPDATE
- added my own guides for DB, wild mary, WC and TOK
Thanks for the WC Mary guide. That was exactly what I was looking for. :-)
UPDATE
- made some improvements to that skills 2 DB guide
Sinbad and the Besieged City
For Camp L12 I got good results for W3 with 45MS 240AM.
Kill everything including the leader on round 1.
The savings you get from killing the leader before he attacks is greater than the extra losses you take from not using lots of MM to whittle down the BHS.
It can probably be fine-tuned to slip in a few MM; mine was a quick rough-cut.
Quick question about Giant Battle. I killed L2 from the bottom section but didn't get 'robust tools' to build a repair kit for the bridge. Can't recall if it's something i need to pick up from a leader, or it appears in my star automatically?
UPDATE
- added my evil run for whirlwind, since its all over the place now :) 3mmas + major, no blocks, enjoy
also, 3 mill views 0.0 thanks :)
On the new Skills 2.0 WC guide (Mary) -- it looks like the labels for positions x14 and x15 in the final attack are reversed from prior version. Was that intentional?
With the Weather Control Station coming to the game, is there any reason to try to get it? It seems like it hurts the player more than it helps.
