Server Issues?

Been trying for 2 hours to log back in to the game after it froze up or stop responding. Forums slow to load also.

I've had the same problems all day. Send support a ticket about this.

I cant get in either, "connection failed" and everything else is fine with my internet and computer...BlueByte/Ubisoft feed the hamsters!!!

Something has to be done about the latency. The slowness is at the server gateway, I hop fast under a ms between the 4 hops to the server set, then 452ms at the gateway per packet. So basically, if data gets through, which at that rate would be few and far between, it will take forever to do anything...

Fix the slideshow please.

Official error is now "Server Call Failed" which means someone is having a network outage and it's not the customer :)

this is ridiculous, i cant log in, my mines are drying up!

Game wont load how come Settlers online is broken or what how come it wont load?????????

one of my gold mine is running also at least the other are sleeping

can;t log in and if i recall the server come down today so that would be hours not being able to get in added to not being able to get in as is.

This is completely unacceptable. First no response from the support team other than we will get to you later just wait, well that wasn't the exact wording but that was the meaning and now cant even get past the tip of the day loading screen. So what three days not able to log in and I'm supposed to be good with this BS. What a joke!

Yep same here, can't logon. Doesn't seem to download any data from the server. All normal tricks not working. What's up ubi?

Anyone know when we can get back in?! or why the server is down?

I have the same problem - game froze 3 hours ago, and haven't been able to log on since. I have a large time-sensitive quest going that can barely be finished before the deadline! :S

same crap for me ...and this game was only a back up for another and just started to like this game guess im going back to the other

i got back in after many tries then got kick out at least time to sleep stuff

Lawanater, cause they are to cheap to put in 2 servers to handle the volume overload of people joining the site, found out that the euro server works better cause they have 3 of them.

I was able to log in by allowing my other browser session wait for the "Tip Of The Day" message to let me in. The game eventually came on, but it is a pain to play. There is an alternating server lag event and normal play time. Any action you take may work instantly or be put on hold. It is as if tasks are queued and then suddenly released (then back to lag again). After several actions are queued, I tried going to a friend's island and applied buffs. It worked for a time and then lag occurred, followed by a boot out (refresh message appears / click button / back out to Login page).

At times, technology fails. This I accept. However, when failure occurs, I expect some form of timely notification. The message need not be detailed. A simple acknowledgement and confirmation that action is being taken will suffice. I doubt that this is a hardship, nor should it take considerable time to accomplish.

Such notifications are a standard followed by top I.T. shops in the world. One would think that Ubisoft, an international company with "1.061 billion euros" in sales 2011-20122, declared as the "2nd largest in-house development staff in the world with 26 studios in 18 countries" and a staff of "More than 6,900 team members worldwide including 5,800 dedicated to production" could spare a resource to send a notification.

Sir, thank you for this wonderful game. It is quite entertaining and allows me to gain friends. I am sure that you are aware that in the United States of America, our constitution guarantees the pursuit of happiness. This game provides me the chance to do so.

I am thinking ubi is updating servers to reflect the changes. Some use uplay accounts to log in also.

I was finally able to log in late last night, about 3 hrs after starting this thread, and had no problems. Logged in several times today with no problems.

I'm still unable to get a map upload after "tip of the day" against a blank blue screen

Dude...you win.

There was an announcement but you need to somehow magically know where to find it. It was posted under General Discussion. Servers are down for emergency maintenance for an unspecified time.

haha he made me laugh, but I have one question. Since I can't login what does that mean to the gems I would have been given for logging in for seventh consecutive day.

Server Status 08/18/2012

Attention all players, due to unforeseen technical difficulties the server will need to be shut down for an unspecified amount of time to prevent any data from being lost. This message is posted on the homepage - there must have been an unknown bug that slipped trough the testing fase - it can happen so dont blame ubisoft - they work pretty hard & fast if you look at other games
But i do agree it sucks tho

We should have an addiction thread to help people through this rough time. Here we sit...wondering....fidgeting...reading things we would never read...and we wait. How long will it be? How long are we willing to stay here and watch the clock slowly check off the minutes and hours until we can play again? I am going to study up on my war strategies (read the guides someone else wrote). LOL
