[Ubi Official] Halloween 2012 Discussion

Repeat post I did in Maintenance Compensation that fits in here as well.
Here is another great thought that fits in with the holiday theme, fair, fun, and simple to pull of if BB has the will. This idea even helps with the failure of no adventure for Halloween and Maintenance Compensation. Put in gem shop for 1 fish a multi player adventure with no minimal level to play themed towards Halloween and for the duration of that Halloween event. Random xp and loot ranging from poor to awesome. Include killing server bugs (Caltrop), spammers (Thug) , hackers (Cultist), Cheaters (Shadowsneaker). Up for the chalange BB?

Obviously he didn't know silo's were created last halloween friend...and mis-informed on how the buffs works! Its alright, you probably helped clarify things for other people who are not sure either! Not everyone knows how those buffs work.

Ok the School is really a Brothel. A slow brothel at that. If Settlers had a red light district then the School house would be spitting out settlers every 10 minutes.
Not Hours and Hours. Anyway besides the Zombie Buff this event doesn't excite me at all.

When is the event starting?

Starts Oct 18th ..

QUESTION .. maybe I'm being dense (I have never been able to get the test server to let me play for more than 5 minutes) when you guys say you can only buy/build "3 Each" ..

.. first .. does that mean you can only build 3 of each type TOTAL for the duration of the event?
- (ie., 9 patches total with or without buffs, 3 @ small, 3 @ medium, 3 @ Noble and you are done)
- which means you get 150 pumpkins total from a small, 255 total from a medium, 300 total from the Nobles = 705 pumpkins total from the patches?

.. or does it mean you can only build 3 patches at one time, and then rebuild/replace them after they run out (like mines)?
- (ie., I can build 3 noble patches multiple times for the duration of the event?)
- without buffs; that's 15 Noble patches total = 1,500 pumpkins.

.. OR .. can you have nine patches running at one time (3 @ small, 3 @ medium, 3 @ Noble) for the entire event?
- blah blah blah .. critical need-to-know information .. lol ..

.. with 540 hours (or so) total game time for the event I'm trying to figure out Max pumpkin production .. reading some of the comments it's tough to figure out if we are limited to the 705 pumpkins or not ..

Wow...I'm feeling very uncomfortable with this game now. I just started playing, and would be more than happy to spend my actual cash on stuff...that is, I would be if I didn't feel like I was being forced to do so every second of my game time.I cancelled my WoW subscription because they more or less forced you to purchase the expansions in order to fully participate in the holidays, and the changes they made to the game made my previous hard work (and valuable time) practically worthless at the click of a server switch.

I will say that if I get slammed with these "Dark Buffs", I will be quitting this game immediately. That is not a prank--that is extortion...and I for one, do not apprecate being treated like this.

I just wanna say since welcoming over 100+ new friends due to the new trade system, my land will be hell with darkness buffs *facepalms*

This Halloween event is a bit of a let down so far. Once I figured out the max on pumpkins, the rest seems so-so at best. Question: If you use the Sun buff....it brings the daylight back for good or only a few hours? How does that work?
