I teared down 2 noble pumpkin patches to re-locate it and couldn't find it in the Star menu. I wish there were any information on it...*Sigh*...This Halloween event is over for me at the very first day.
so.. can we download the theme song?
I'm assuming that the absolutely horrendous new music is a form of torture in keeping with the Halloween theme?
The event is cool and all. I'm excited for new event for something to do, but the gem sale is just sad. I know I'm not buying any gems again until its back at 50% and know many others feel the same.
I'm really surprised at all of the negative feedback. Probably because the only people who take the time to comment are those who complain.
So after 1 day I'm happy enough. It's something different to do. I haven't spent a single dime of my own money. I've been able to complete all quests so far. I've got over 100 pumpkins through just the farms and challenges.
My 1 question, will the items purchased with pumpkins (specifically Mr. Myers) be available for use later in game? Say I buy several Mr. Myers but don't wish to use one until January, will he still be useable or will his use expire with the event?
My one wish/reccomendation..... I wish there had been at least 1 new adventure themed around this holiday. Getting bored with all the current/normal adventures. I liked the soccer ones, even the easter egg hunts.
Why do we have "Semataries" instead of "Cemeteries"?
yeah thats why i havnt used the light buff yet, would like some info on this from BB tho, many others used it and who knows what will come tomorrow, will the quests continue for them? or for those who have not used the light buff?
I really don't get the whole pumpkin patch thing. Seem to have instantly created one by accidentally clicking the gems, but can't find it now... how can I buff it if I can't see it?

If you are so worried about scammers that you saddle us with the massive inconvenience of a 24h wait period, why did you create a sun buff and a light buff for the Halloween event?
I see people posting stacks of 25 SUN buffs for trade.
A sun buff is a one off buff to undo the utterly STUPID darkness you FORCED on everyone. You make 1, use it, and that's it for the sun buff.
SO now you got scammers trading them to NOOBS who are getting ripped off because having a SUN buff and a LIGHT buff is CONFUSING to say the least. Especially for newer players who will buy the sun buffs thinking they are light buffs or that they can be used more than once.

well looks like Eliot, the Pumpkin Master tricked me. I buffed one player with 2 dark buffs then 2 players with one dark buff each and the quest tricks and treats do not validate :(

You can be sure they will not bother fixing it.

what happened to the "several quests" from the new NPC? I finished all the quests on the first day and now nothing....is that supposed to be a trick or what?
I'm assuming they used this spelling because of Stephen King's book "Pet Sematary", which was spelled incorrectly because a child character in the book makes the sign and spells it incorrectly. So it's either and ode to Stephen King, or whoever wrote the Halloween text saw Stephen King's book and assumed it must be the correct spelling.Quote:

why give us a general that has the same attributes as the 1250 gem general. that is stupid and in fact has no real benefit or would be considered a specialist. the grim reaper general does not do anything special. In fact we don't even have a master general so why bother with the constant tricks posing them as treats

My $0.02 is that this event if thoroughly disappointing. It's really been more of a non-event than an event. I was expecting something along the lines of the soccer event with plenty of battles. I'm glad I'm not spending money on this game.
It would have been nice to see a new adventure or two, However all and all nice work!
I am disappointed by one thing. In the test server i was able to demo a patch, purchase it in the gem menu again, and then build another. I attempted to do the same in my current game and have come to realize that I have demo'd one of my small pumpkin patches in vein. I was under the impression that you had a limit of building 3 patches but after they expired you could get them again...
I was under the impression we could get 5 silos, its only 3. This makes me a very sad panda. The schools make me a sadder panda, 12 settlers a day isn't worth the space it takes up.
I was really disappointed by how short the Halloween quest line was, from the event description i read on the site i assumed there was going to be daily quests for small amounts of pumpkins, not something that took less than 45 minutes to finish. Some Halloween adventures would have been cool too.

Yeah I am bummed that we can't have more pumpkin patches...and no more quests...so it means the only way to get more pumpkins is sell stuff for pumpkins and buy pumpkins with gems...IOW mess with our heads and think we can actually get some cool stuff when in essence I can't because people want tooo much for pumpkins on the ah. and the ah is still pain as it changes so rapidly.
Yes the inability to recieve quests for pumpkins shows a lack of planning or caring. Not sure which is more unsettling. Clearly there is not any way other than trading or buying gems (ulterior motive and main objective of Ubisoft) to get enough pumpkins to by useful itmes (general, general and a school). Yes you can afford one school, but that is it. At least during the soccer and easter events you had quests to do (don't want to go into the rip off of re-doing Easter quests for no eggs). This is a lot like dangling a carrot just out of reach. Could have been so much better. Not saying they need to "give" it, but should be able to "earn" it and not have to "buy" it.
my theory is the quests were intended to be daily, but we got them all at once for some reason. i also think the darkness and need for sun buff was intended to last for the duration of the event, but they must have gotten a lot of negative feedback about it.
anyone know for sure if the light/dark and zombie buffs will work after the event?
the zombie buffs i believe will work after the event, as the rabbit charm buffs worked several months after the easter event was over.
as for the light and dark buffs, i have no idea, as they are created in PH using pumpkins, not bought in the shop as most other special event buffs have been
