How to Utilise/Assign unemployed settlers?

I am new to the game.

I noticed that there are unemployed settlers. How do I utilise them? How do I assign them to particular jobs?

Hello, Siriusly. You assign them by either training them as troops or giving them jobs to do by building production buildings, and/or wells.
