well it has happened before and that is what happened everyone freaked out on the forums and nothing came of it that is why i have spent half the day trolling for the fun of it lol nothing else to do cuz roads are too bad to drive on so cant go to the work maybe get a troll hobby :) i did and it is fun ;p

It is just something I forced myself to realize a long long time ago when I got into freemium games, which constantly crash as they evolve, have bugs, things get lost, etc. I used to get mad too, but then that takes all the fun out of playing a game. I like to have fun while playing and I find I can have a lot more fun when I realize, it's just a game, and I am paying for enjoyment, and things will get fixed, as fast as they get fixed. I'm playing another game now, just had some fun on this thread at some angry people's expense. *evil grin*

I have not been demanding, only concerned that i have lost money in regards to my purchase, however i will be doing as suggested and if my gems are not there i will send them the copy of my receipt no problem. but when it comes to things like this issue, some answers for people who have put time and money into it would be a considerate thing. causing drama is not what i was doing, not in the least. I however dont take kindly to people calling me down or telling me i am inconsiderate when that just isnt the case at all. maybe you should get ur facts straight when it comes to people. (especially people you dont know and have never even spoken to before.) thanks for your time.

I hope this is the tipping point for a bunch of people and they quit because BB really isnt doing that good of a job with there game. Maybe a bunch of people leaving will help them pull there heads out of there...... :)

tis why you and i and roman are awesome :) we each have one way of getting enjoyment from the sitiuations. you like to just crush hopes with truth, i like to troll the crap out of people cuz they get so mad and roman likes to come and calm it all down :) that is why we who have played the game for long time are awesomesauce :)

At any rate, most likely the longest rollback that would have to happen is a week, but that seems extreme. There is probably daily backups that occur every night that snapshot all players progress so most likely the most people will lose is half a day. Time will tell, either way, I'll deal with whatever happens and move on so I can continue to enjoy the game. Either way I will probably never see 50 because I'm too lazy and the redundant leveling has just exceeded my capacity to repeat my actions ....several times a day.

Look at my original post, it was in reply to another guy who said "oh I've been in IT for 17 years and I know everything and this is crap it only takes this long when I do it". Yea ...I have a Bachelors in Network Administration and that is total crap. Not knowing what happened makes it impossible to even know or speculate how long a fix would be not knowing how many GB of data have to be restored etc. He acted like "bringing the server back online" was all that was necessary. There is probably a 6 hour restore that accompanies getting the servers back online too..and who knows what else even. I just hate know it all's who try to use their so called experience to "tell ya how it is". :p Then you responded. Anyway i'm not mad lol, was a fun 30 minutes.

i agree..... when i posted all i was trying to find out was whats up with this rollback... i know they will get in touch and post when they can and thats fine with me.... i was only responding to peoples replies.... completely NOT directed at bb or ubisoft except when i said this was a fail.... which it seems to me it is..... maybe could have been handled maybe just alil diff....... but other than that i am good, lol

Well in all honesty I'm not hardly even playing but once or twice a week atm, taking a break as this game has consumed a good year of my time and I am pursuing other hobbies, while still trying to "keep things" relatively rolling so to speak. Though having 5000 army with 6000 settlers in my Star menu, has done be no favors. Need to hurry up and kill some of them so I can build some wells. Or I could just throw up another 10 residences since I have 15 licenses left....Why didn't I think of that before. Ok BB hurry up so I can build a residence *stomps foot*

lol i am only lvl 33... ur way past me lol but yeah if ya wanna.... (if my army is still there lol ) my army is almost 4k ... (was makin more soldiers when this whole thing started) and yea i am on everyday.... so just add me when this whole garbage is done with lol

yes it seems as if to many players are getting to close to not haveing to buy gems and if they loose what they have spent countless hours to build and still play they will buy more that is what they are thinking but i have spent hundredes of dollars on this 1 game and will buy hundreds more if i have everything i have bought with real money......... Reading this thread was a little like reading the Diablo 3 forums in it's early days.

I can appreciate the passion I've seen in this thread, but some of it borders on anger not warranted. My two cents is something has gone really wrong with the servers or the game and they really don't know what it is or how to fix it yet. Wouldn't a rollback mean that everything you had at that moment in time would be restored to you? i.e. adventure maps used since then, gems spent, resources saved, etc.?

I recommend going and making a pumpkin stencil for the Halloween contest. That will get you some easy free gems.
