i pressume most people have records of gems purchased either bank/paypal or that's be really dumb
ok day 2, an update would be nice. i know you ppl are working 24/7 to get it back up, but keeping us in the loop would also be nice.
i want a gem mine for a month worth of rollbacks
My explorer just found me a Nords. I need to be able to get that back with whatever rewards we receive from BB. I also picked up a vet general last week. I hope I still have him or the gems I used to get him.

Since this is a b!tch-fest...
I started this game roughly 2 weeks ago, put a decent amount of money into it, found a guild that was very helpful to get me boosted up (not very repeatable a second time), and made lvl 33 already. This wasn't only from gems and guild help though, I've been VERY aggressive on trade etc. I've also had very good LUCK (can't repeat either) with my scouts finding adventures and also scored 2 White Castles on SFTR this week alone.
If they roll back as little as 2 days then my empire suffers greatly. If they roll back 2 weeks then my empire doesn't exist. If the latter then, yes, I would prefer a refund of my hard earned money over any reward they can offer. I sank a lot of time over a vacation period into this game to get to a good place and be able to get going on adventures with my guild. I don't necessarily have that time again for quite awhile... Unfortunately, not ALL things can be replaced, as some suggest, as they took time that has past and cannot be regained.
This is a real bummer for someone who just started to play and was trying to get others to come try the game out...
i agree i spent over $200 on gems caz i love this game am i gonna loose all that??? 100 gems, that will replace nothing!!!!
I am sorry to hear that SplatterGod. Also, I don't spend gems, but I do buy them regularly and hadn't missed a log in day in 10 months, so I get my gems weekly. But if we rollback even two days, I miss out on the 3 Nords and RB that I have run. I was very close to finally getting cannons. And as LushyLady can confirm, had been making a ton of coin over the last month to help out our guild members be able to get the new general. However, if we can't play, not much point in getting another general. I am a computer programmer, and there is no reason that they should not be able to see what everyone had in storage, xp, star menu, etc. and put it back via gifts when reloaded. The only reason would be laziness, which as we all know is a problem with programmers, lol.
Totally agree with you Matrix.... and i just opened a nords so looks like my quest for more granite has taken another nose dive let alone all the gems needing to be replaced....all the hard work on syncing silos and farms etc and the forever growing gold chain has all gone down the pan. We all need an update asap as to how far back its going!...... grrrr
Crap, I forgot about all the Farms and Silos and the new piece of the gold chain I just built will be gone. As for granite, I always got your hookup there, lol.
I really feel for ColdestDantor, in same boat as SplatterGod, he won't exist if rolled back too far.

I think the rollback might be 3 weeks. I turned a ticket, because when I logged in the other day, the TT said that I couldn't post a trade for 20 days, 15 hours and 53 minutes. I was fine with not making a trade for that long because I could care less about the TT until it is updated, but that is my theory. If thats the case and the compensation isn't similar to where many people were as of yesterday, I can see BB losing a lot of players. They are already losing many due to the boredom that happens when you hit 50.
I would just like to know when they believe it may be restored, so I can have LL buff my gold chain, lol.

I was soo close to lvl 46 i could feel it within 24hrs not to mention all the nords,BK and others adventures id done i will soo cry if you are correct about the 20 day prediction especially as my PH wasnt even to Lvl 5 then Geeezzzz

It sucks we wait around for something new and exciting to come to C.E. and everytime its a failure, Beta is one thing, but incompetence seems to be the order. I'm already getting bored with the lack of new things, and or progress, but this whole "role back/ compensation" thing is so frustratingly old, it might just push me off this site for good. Way to go BB, now maybe for a grand finale you could tell all of us how patient, and understanding we should be. You guys are, at best, are incompetent, but I'm beginning to think you really are just doing major cash grabs... prove me wrong. very disapointed, again!

Totally understand that one but i'm sure someone knows more and we have had over 18hrs of silence, as customers paying or not the faith is starting to drift out the window.
Have people being working overnight on the issue or did they all go home to bed that kinda gives us more of an idea of how much longer we have to wait to see what damage has been done :-)
I definitely understand that, and can assure you that we have been working on the issue. It is a serious one, and one that unfortunately is taking some time to sort out. We don't want to put a band aid on the server and load it up, only to have problems creep back in again. We're making sure that the game will be at 100% again before we set it back up.
What is totally getting me, is that this was touted as a "problem with some people logging in". I personally had NO issues. i JUST started spending money on the game because i WAS enjoying it, and literally, no kidding, i spend my last 2 gems and you guys shut it down. Now I am a patient person, most of the time, but if this kind of communication from support staff is what I can expect, then my hard earned REAL LIFE money won't be spent here. I may have to go find a snail game to play like heroes of gaia or something else. This keeping people in the dark...you CAN NOT honestly say that you, the support and IT staff, DO NOT know what is going on. If you truly dont, then share that with people...lets see how many remain.
I think people need to stop whining about this and move on, things will get fixed and hopefully they give us something for the server being down and again people no reason to whine about stuff like this it happens just like in real life...

Do you spend your hard earned cash on the game? And it isn't whining for the most part. Those who have not sunk money from their CC or bank accounts are whining...maybe, but those that have feel like they are going to LOSE their money, a COMPLAINT, not whining. Support staff need to deal with COMPLAINTS and they need to INFORM people...that is all MOST are asking for... UPDATED INFO

I know that rolling back a server is a bit time consuming, but 48 hours seems excessive. The restoration from a previous backup should normally take approximately 8 to 16 hours, including the replacement of an earlier version of the database of profiles.
We know the Server Admin is working to resolve, but the lack of an ETA is very frustrating. You know they have had to create an ETA to answer the question posed by the management heirachy.
Just a thought, if we rollback for 1 week lets say, we go to where we were at that point. That would mean what guild you were in right? How about players that were banned in the past week, are they now gonna be free to play again? hmmmmm
wonder if ubisoft's stockholders are aware of this, im sure they would be interested to know :)
Let me ask you guys something. as a free player it's always been my standpoint that compensation is awesome, but also only a gift, and while is welcome, is NOT necessary... yes, money was spent, by some. I for one would welcome compensation but as a general...IDC if they give it or not, if I lost alot I'll work that much harder to get back
