Seems to be a big issue. A lot of people including me have made some personal investments on this game. And to have such a long down time seems unreal and uncalled for. I think one thing that they should do is SLOW down with trying to push so much at so little time on a game that is rather easy for these game developers to make. I also think the updates on what is going on should be more than once a day and be more specific to all of us on what is going on. People who have invested in this game in anyway should see some time of a compensation for their losses of time. We are all going to be having to use more materials to rebuild what was lost and it will be taking a bit of time to play catch up. Rollbacks eehhh we'll see what they can do I'm sure it will work out. Just wish the game was back up.

I guess no one thinks about this game being made and produced in Germany. Maybe, just maybe, they are busy fixing the problem.
I've been on games like WoW and recently Guild Wars 2 where the games had outages. What would you rather they do, put the game back up in haste just to bring it down a few days later (WoW and GW2 as great examples) or to keep it down and get it right?
All you back seat programmers that think you can fix things so easily have no idea what their code is, what server software they are using, etc. Imagine if they have to get a new server. That would mean they'd have to migrate the data from the old server to a new one. Yeah, that happens in 15mins. *rolls eyes*
Quite a few people here are complaining and I've seen you guys in game stating you don't buy gems. Those that did buy Gems, yeah it sucks, the game is down. That's the risk you take when you play an ONLINE GAME. For all the common sense you guys spout off as having, it's pretty sad how much of the real things you miss.
I'd rather them fix Zues so that way I can enjoy my level 45 account instead of them taking down again in a week or two due to issues. At least I can wait. I wouldn't want to join the Whine and Cheese crowd.
At least a few of you, "get it."
Then those of you who think that calling their 800 number is going to help. *laughing really hard at your stupidity* Yeah, support's number is really a doorway to the dev team's personal line in Germany.

I understand that server is down & that you are working out the kinks, but do you think that it will be up & runnig sometime this wknd. My husband & I both enjoy playing this game we both started playing it @ the same time & yet he's ahead of me but yet that's ok I don't mind. But I would like to get back to it some time soon. Thank you. Ms. Blue & Zantac

I think all any of us can really say at this point is whatever happend must have been very, very bad. It started with emergency maintenance and quickly moved into requiring a roll back, one that has taken several days so far to accomplish. This most likely means there was some major corruption of the game data happening. And all the time this is taking sort of implies it was quite a bit of time they had to roll back to correct things (and hence they are working to resolve things relating to gem purchases and such which will have to be based on the finacial records not game records from the corrupted database) Of course I'm only guessing. But on the other side, I know what it takes to restore really big computer systems from backup. And using that as a gauge, all I can think is wow, something was really screwed up to take this long. Maybe even a hacking of the system (which they can't speak about yet of course).

I blame that guy Theodor I keep having to help on quests. It seems like he's always getting in trouble.

I "get it". The one time I had an extended outage like this for a customer was when the server blew a motherboard and disk and our backups failed. So we were scrambling to slap together a server out of parts from some workstations and try to recover what we could and rebuild what we couldn't, while telling the customer "we're having some difficulties with the server, but we're working on it."
You might be surprised how often situations like that come up in real life, for a lot of reasons.
