I think it's stupid cause I was going to buy gems on Saturday and now this game isn't even up and working and I want to play and get to level 50 even though I'm still at a steady level 45 and talk to my guildies because I don't have all their numbers and the rollback is going to be a douche because I've been saving up for 50 lootmails as in getting lootspots or doing my own adventures and not accepted them all until I get 50 so I can get a star menu/storage surprise and I've accomplished 32/50 in the last WEEK. So if this roll back affects my loot mails, I will cry, and burn a field of puppies. No, they're too cute, I'll burn a field of cow manure because that smells and it's probably flammable, jeez.
My money probably won't be going to TSO anymore any time soon. Or ever again.
EDIT: The rollback should just apply to unfinished adventures that got finished during the duration of this, but at the same time, no one should even be doing an adventure ill-prepared. OH and lootspotters who got a lootspot from G-2 are going to get ANGRY. More angry than I. I think. Or hope. Omg. I better get a goodie bag.
I think they are going to find themselves go broke right quick because of this rollback its not a smart idea record the information of peoples active accounts because alot of people buy gems I have bought gems and was thinking of buying more but now I dont belive I should... I think id rather this company appologize and fix the problem right quick no more fake appologys either get it done and do it right or dont do it at all ~ Source
Very frustrating. I've only got the European servers to play on now.
It may not be a smart idea...and i certainly do not like the idea, but it may be the ONLY option they have. I have no idea what the problem is or what their resources are, but if the problem is severe enough a rollback may be an only option.
And if a rollback IS the only option then I hope the techies will come up with something in the future to prevent the need for a rollback in a similar situation.
It is a complete Joke if you ask me, there is no time frame given the hole thing is so unprofessional, I have worked in I.T. for 17 years if I ever give any of my clients a server down for so long I would be out of work a long time ago, normally in International Companies they work to standards such as ITILL and SLA agreements but clearly this is too much for them, also I find it strange that The EU server is not having these problems maybe the Staff in EU who look after the EU server are better skilled that these USA Staff.. I guess that must be the case!!!!!!!
Perhaps time to find staff who can do there JOB!!!
Perhaps it's the hardware in North America that is just so completely horrible quality (look up "planned obsolescence") that some of the data got corrupted and/or lost and have to use back up data and rollback the servers to that back up data? This is just guess work but seems like a reasonable scenario to this non-techie
Excitement builds for when the server is restored. When do you think that will be? If it isn't fixed on Friday we will have to wait until Monday.
I'm hardly excited for the realm to be back on. A better word would be impatient or irritated... BTW who ever said they even HAVE a US staff? I watched the youtube video and everyone who spoke english had terrible accents... I doubt they even have US tech's...
In the realm of things does it really matter? The game is a choice you make. It's free unless you decide to spend money on gems and such. My motto..don't sweat the small stuff.

IMo two things can happen... they do a roll back of a day or so... people grumble.... but they still play nothing really changes...
they do a roll back of 2 weeks or more and then people are pissed... i know i would be .... i would serriously have to sit back and think about the game.... I know they are not going to compensate me for a 2 week loss... how can they give the same compensatoin to a level 20 player the same as a higher level player... they can't ...they could give the level 20 a bunch of b swords 1,000 settlers 1,000 gc and he would be happy..... I would not...
no chance I have spent real money on the game if I lose everything I spent it on then I will be really pissed and then be contacting my credit card company this is just like an old scam were an online game comes online loads of people spend real money then they shut game down for so called maintenance and everyone losses the money they spent, then when it comes back on they wait for lots of people to spend money again then bam they shut it down again....
My Advise is go to www.ripoffreport.com and file a report on UBI Soft ASAP..

Did they have to build a new server? Figure out what the problem is or what? The information delay would cause IT's to lose there job at most companyies when you have more then 100 people wanting to get onto a server with no info or time line. Not to note that alot of them are or have payed to use it.
Is this a dream? Am I still drunk? I wish both. I had over 30 hours from Sunday till the servers went out !
Rollback, I think not. They can't repay me in the 400,000+ Coal and 120k bronze swords i sold in that time.
I leveled up, sure i only made the jump to Level 35 but it was exciting at the time.
It's odd how the test server is running and Zeus is still down the toilet.
Something BIG is due to the all the players who lost sleep due to this game.
I hope they fix it soon, and fix the rollback issue, because all players loose with this problem.
The only thing due to players that "lose sleep" over a game is a very hard slap in the face. There is more to life, than this game.

lol..i wiped out sec9 last week..I am going to have to do mary again and rebuild the 9 lvl3+ buildings i put up off the new licenses?? I think not..I am going to lose the 10 parrots I bought off another in game player?? Those things are hard to find these days!...upside is everdean has a nice profile pic!! holla
Maybe they can rollback the game far enough to where it never existed. To be promptly followed by refunding every cent people ever spent on the game.
I've only got two concerns with regards to the rollback: Will we be told, once it's done, which point in time, we're supposedly rolled back to? I don't know about the rest of you, but haven't got a chance of finding out whether something is wrong, if I don't know /when/ the new situation is supposed to be a repeat of...
...and then there's the timing. If the roll-to point is when my coin production was running, and the pick-up time is just as I go to sleep, followed by a 14-hour workday, then I'll be one sad puppy.

that's why it's called a *quick* update. and not a *full fledged* update.
I hope the problem is resolved soon. And frankly, I wouldn't worry about gems too much. I would think that's on a separate server.. if Ubisoft was smart. if not, they will have backups of receipts of what people spent, so it will get sorted out.
I just miss talking to my guildies. My place will be getting cleaned up some more since I can't be distracted here :)
and what about noble deeds bought in auction or with Gold Coin and other gems items bought with Gold Coin? do you think they have that on a separate server tooo
And this has been my biggest complaint. The Zeus server issues are not new. The server has not been stable or reliable for months. It is known. It has been ignored. The test server has had 3 promos. This is why the current crash/rollback upsets me as much as it does. It could and should have been prevented, since it was known for a long time to be unstable. But, such as it is. At least now I have a clearer picture as to where the game handlers focus their resources and efforts.
Only thing seperate is your time that you can never get back that you spent playing. Take anything from me but time!
This event will be something to tell the Grandkids in years to come.
We are all very upset that we have lost time in a time sinking game...

lets not forget oabout the trade issues, not anywhere in here have i read about how they will be fixing the trade bug, we have several members who cant even post trades because its jacked up, says they have to wait 24 hours till they can repost a trade and we have had several who havent been able to post trades for a week now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Imagine if you have just had to wait a week for your Provision House to upgrade and now you get to relive that week all over again. Groundhog Day.
just saying because of this whole thing im taking a major hit, myself...kinda why im sorta pushing for an overzealous compensation package. If you have payed to play this game i suggest you do the same... bout time they actually make up for something not say sorry for the inconvenience and send us back to spend more on it.... for me to buy anymore gems after this will take an extremely nice gesture by the devs, bbs, or whoever is at the power to do so...
funny thing is that the aries server(the second North American Server) was up an functioning with no probs and the test server was too....... up until THIS morning....... it never went out at all..... so whats so wrong with Zeus that they cant get it to work?.... UBI just really needs to answer some questions
