same here i know how you feel :-((
There certainly is, but why do other people have to have the same "value system" as you have?
I mean after all, there's more to life than baseball. There's more to life than hockey (hey all of you losing sleep over no hockey!). There's more to life than working. There's more to life than.... etc, etc, etc.
You can say that about ANYTHING, it all depends on your "value systems". Besides, getting worked up over problems with a video game does not preclude you having a full life outside that video game!
Do I think some people are overreacting? Sure, some I think are, but I don't feel the need to tell them to "grow up" or to "get a life", since something in their life has upset them I feel bad for them because they are in pain.
You haven't "lost any sleep over this" and that's great, neither have I. How about we try and be helpful and constructive for those that are?
I think they're novice
They have already informed us they will roll back , so if they are going to do that I wish they would and let us get back to rebuilding , lets face it a roll back doesnt take forever Ive been on other sites that have done it and it only took several hours.
My point is this if there going to do it then just do it and let us get back to the game.

McKayla is not impressed.
Groundhog Day = DEATH!
Man there goes all my EWL and Gold chains..
I would like to say that its disheartening to know that I have just started to invest cash into the game and then to see this clustered mess. The roll back if needs to happens should be compensated with gems or such as a token of apologies. This is not hard to do as they are all virtual items, its not like your sending back cash but appeasing your paying customers. When companies dont see their customers face to face they tend to lose grip and real concern for them, but if many feel as I do I wont spend more cash if I see no concern or care over this issue.
It could be like the Sarah Connor Chronicles, the server became self aware. Ubisoft might have just saved humanity.
this is stupid... a very very very small portion of players were having trouble logging in, so... we're going to **** everyone...
if this 'rollback' goes back any further than wednesday's maintenance, ubi will lose far more players than were affected by a log-in related issue.
the fact that the servers are being taken down and rolled back because less than 5% of the players were experiencing a problem is pretty stupid.
why i have chosen to move on to other games , less bull
it sucks for those of us who have actually spent money on this game...what now...sorry? we are taking it into consideration? What does that even mean?
may just have to go to my bank and tell them i never got what i payed for to get my money back
From what i was told it was closer to 10%, and would you still feel the same way if you were suddenly one of the 10% tomorrow? Suddenly you couldn't log in anymore? Your island just sitting there with nobody to tend to it? Or would you demand that something be done to resolve this issue because you're paying cash for gems you better be able to play? Even at only 5% you figure there's probably a userbase of around 10,000 users on zeus, of which 500 couldn't play. So just [beep] those 500 people, the other 9,500 are playing fine anyway. Right?
Or am I understanding you wrong?
"Hole" Where did you work in "IT" ?

In case no one else pointed it out, some companies have the day off Monday. Although I personally boycott the day due to the nature of the person 'celebrated', I wouldn't expect any improvement to the current situation here until Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday of next week.
In any case, my time here is done forever. I've noted a way to try to win me back to Ubisoft games in the reparations thread, and Ubi has my email address. Contact me there if you wish to do any business in the future. Otherwise, goodbye. Over and out.
Seems to be a big issue. A lot of people including me have made some personal investments on this game. And to have such a long down time seems unreal and uncalled for. I think one thing that they should do is SLOW down with trying to push so much at so little time on a game that is rather easy for these game developers to make. I also think the updates on what is going on should be more than once a day and be more specific to all of us on what is going on. People who have invested in this game in anyway should see some time of a compensation for their losses of time. We are all going to be having to use more materials to rebuild what was lost and it will be taking a bit of time to play catch up. Rollbacks eehhh we'll see what they can do I'm sure it will work out. Just wish the game was back up.
I guess no one thinks about this game being made and produced in Germany. Maybe, just maybe, they are busy fixing the problem.
I've been on games like WoW and recently Guild Wars 2 where the games had outages. What would you rather they do, put the game back up in haste just to bring it down a few days later (WoW and GW2 as great examples) or to keep it down and get it right?
All you back seat programmers that think you can fix things so easily have no idea what their code is, what server software they are using, etc. Imagine if they have to get a new server. That would mean they'd have to migrate the data from the old server to a new one. Yeah, that happens in 15mins. *rolls eyes*
Quite a few people here are complaining and I've seen you guys in game stating you don't buy gems. Those that did buy Gems, yeah it sucks, the game is down. That's the risk you take when you play an ONLINE GAME. For all the common sense you guys spout off as having, it's pretty sad how much of the real things you miss.
I'd rather them fix Zues so that way I can enjoy my level 45 account instead of them taking down again in a week or two due to issues. At least I can wait. I wouldn't want to join the Whine and Cheese crowd.
At least a few of you, "get it."
Then those of you who think that calling their 800 number is going to help. *laughing really hard at your stupidity* Yeah, support's number is really a doorway to the dev team's personal line in Germany.
I understand that server is down & that you are working out the kinks, but do you think that it will be up & runnig sometime this wknd. My husband & I both enjoy playing this game we both started playing it @ the same time & yet he's ahead of me but yet that's ok I don't mind. But I would like to get back to it some time soon. Thank you. Ms. Blue & Zantac
true that!!!
I think all any of us can really say at this point is whatever happend must have been very, very bad. It started with emergency maintenance and quickly moved into requiring a roll back, one that has taken several days so far to accomplish. This most likely means there was some major corruption of the game data happening. And all the time this is taking sort of implies it was quite a bit of time they had to roll back to correct things (and hence they are working to resolve things relating to gem purchases and such which will have to be based on the finacial records not game records from the corrupted database) Of course I'm only guessing. But on the other side, I know what it takes to restore really big computer systems from backup. And using that as a gauge, all I can think is wow, something was really screwed up to take this long. Maybe even a hacking of the system (which they can't speak about yet of course).
I blame that guy Theodor I keep having to help on quests. It seems like he's always getting in trouble.
fix it right and make it right, i buy gems all the time, who cares, get the game back up, working top notch, if u like the game so much , why u on here bashing all the behind **** stuff, let them do there job, and lets get playin when it is up and working,
GETTER DONE!! :)
He it is almost 2 days later and still not up. This is BS! When can we expect the server back up? Next week? Next Year? WTF!
My guess is Zeus is back online Monday. Now i have to find something to do for the weekend :o/
I "get it". The one time I had an extended outage like this for a customer was when the server blew a motherboard and disk and our backups failed. So we were scrambling to slap together a server out of parts from some workstations and try to recover what we could and rebuild what we couldn't, while telling the customer "we're having some difficulties with the server, but we're working on it."
You might be surprised how often situations like that come up in real life, for a lot of reasons.
