How you gonna compensate time related losses.

I wonder How they gonna compensate time and bonus related losses at same time. I play casually , I have no worries and doesnt mater for me whatever they do but some people follow prety well planned strategy while playing this game, My friend told me he has bunch of lvl5 gold mines filled with full gold deposits , he said he made all calculations to run them 7/24 buffed, so he turns off all mines while offline. When server went down they all were runing and also he was in middle of lvl5 barracks upgrade. So if server rolled back , he may save buniss related losses but he will be waste all days waited for barrack upgrade. He has to get enough gems to upgrade lvl5 barracks instantly so he wont loose anything.
