Regarding Rollback and Compensation
Alright everyone.
After seeing a number of posts and topics of people complaints and demands I felt neccesary to make this topic.
One thing is clear and that is we all lost time due to both the server being down and the rollback.
However, the thing that is bothering me the most is not the downtime or the losses, but the threats players are making.
Okay, granted a lot of players lost quite a lot of stuff I get that, however, try to look at it from the perspective of the game developers. Ranting on the forum and making threats of leaving isn't productive in the slightest. So, please try to remain calm I'm sure BB and UBI are working hard to make things right.
What many of you might not realize is how stressed it must be for them considering the circumstances. Their first priority was obviously to recover the server and assess and handle the problem that caused the failure. (Most likely a hardware issue, possibly caused by a power outage or power glitch in the area the servers are located.) Regardless of the cause, they had no choice but to rollback the servers which I am sure was not something they wanted to do.
Now, as for compensation. Their first priority is going to be the gem buyers. NOT the free players or the resources lost or the lost adventures or the lost experience, but rather the players who bought gems between the date the server was rolled back to, and to the date the server went down. Once all gem purchases that got messed up due to the rollback have been dealt with, then their may be compensation for the other losses players incurred.
Again, UBI's and BB's first priority are the gem buyers.
So if you didn't lose gems you bought due to the server crash/rollback then please try to refrain from ranting on about how you should be compensated and threatening that you'll leave if you don't get compensated because it isn't helping the situation in the slightest.
