I used a 20$ card today and purchased a $9.99 pack of gems. It then said that my remaining balance was transferred into ultimate points. After registering with ultimate pay, my balance went up to 1101 points. I now do not see an option to use these points to purchase another pack anywhere. Anyone have any experience with this?
sent in a report to ultimate pay so i now have to wait on them to reply.
the same happened to my friend execpt that you login and use your ultimate points slot
i think if you log in with an playspan account you might be able to have the use most of the remaining balance (via the pay with other methods - game card) ?
ok i have an ultimate pay account but not a playspan account. will create one of those...

I just cleared my history and tried it. I do not have an option to use my ultimate points at all.
Without looking over your shoulder, this is hard to troubleshoot. I use the Ultimate Points option, so I know that it does work. When you go to buy gems, you will get the option to use any available points when you go to "check out" after selecting a gem package. There is a tab just like with the credit card options. If you don't have enough points to cover the purchase, then the points you do have will be credited and the left over amount charged to another payment method.
All I have is the CC, Paypal, and other 5 options that usually shows up. No other tab.
Playspan website has been down for 4 days now. Dunno what I am going to do about this.
have been in the same boat with ya, to be honest i thinkit should be the job of the castle empire support team to correct this type of problem
Ya'll should know that Playspan has had problems in the very recent past. Just a couple months ago their site was hacked and customer info stolen. Just prior to that i had made a purchase using my Ultimate Game Card and the balance that was due me on this game did not show up when i went to make my next purchase. When i contacted Customer Support on Settlers, they told me i had to contact Playspan. And of course when i contacted Playspan i got an automated response saying basically nothing and no response from a live human being. Customer Support here at Settlers finally reimbursed me with the gems i would have been able to buy with the missing points that SHOULD have been on my account here but i will never purchase another Ultimate Game Card ever, ever again and i advise others against buying them also. Better to just buy a prepaid credit card or use a bank credit card or maybe Paypal. Any business that does not have decent Customer Service does not deserve any business.
see then why am i getting run around? they told me to go contact them, no luck there, got ahold of settlers support again and they said its on playspan not them, just tired of the crap that i have to go through just to get my money's worth from what i paid
If you paid by credit card you may be protected, I don't know what the law is where you are but I know mine protects me against this sort of non service. If I don;t receive the service I paid for then I am able to get a refund if all attempts to get the goods/service or a refund have failed.
I am assuming you tried this link for their customer service & if they are not replying or are refusing to sort it out then try contacting the organisation you used to pay for it. This sort of problem is why I pay for everything using my credit card.

I would like to quickly point out that we have investigated this matter, and would like to publicly state that this did in fact occur, but was in fact an error. The support representative in this case was acting independently and management was not aware of this taking place.Quote:

ok meeshabeans but if that site is down or we cannot access it i do believe it should fall on the settlers support staff to give us what we paid for, wich is btw a virtual object that can be generated by the push of a button, so wtf is the deal here? realize its not your fault or job to begin with but after so much run around there should be compensation at the end, weather it be from either side of the equation id like to see someones customer support handle this properly and if not at least remove it as payment option, not just i have had this happen, and whoever did give lady starfire her gems was doing what everyone knows is right and giving the person what they paid for
You paid for UltimatePoints, and you received UltimatePoints. If you are unable to access them, I know that is very frustrating, but it's not something we can resolve. I'm sorry.
if your in partner with them so folks can pay for your services, i think you should be able to, has to be some way, if not thats a very poor business plan on your end
bluebyte has no fault here. you chose to purchase an item from a separate company, according to *their terms of service. if the points are missing, its up to that company you made the purchase from to make it right. blue byte has no control over how another company does their business. they offer this payment method as a convenience to customers. you didnt have to use it. as said in another thread, i had no trouble using an ultimate card.Quote:

Ok so final update. I got BBB involved and things finally worked their way together. Playspan got my account working right on Settlers so I could use my points BUT they deleted my account from their ultimatepay site (I have no idea, maybe it was due to it messing up so bad). So I have all my gems now. Blue Byte has been very helpful and even apologized for the inconvenience even though this was non of their fault.
Basically this is how it's supposed to work if using one or more ultimate game cards to purchase one or more gem packages. For this example: I'll use lets say two $20 cards to buy the 24.99 gem package, the 9.99 package and the 4.99 package which should leave maybe 2 ultimate points afterwards.
1. Go to the gem purchase page and select the 24.99 package.
2. Find the "5 more choices" tab and click it (sometimes it's a different number)
3. On the new popup, find and click on the Ultimate Game Card picture.
4. Enter the PIN from the scraped off back of the card. (note: if you get into the game via facebook, it may ask you for your email addy).
5. Click Pay.
6. There will be a prompt saying you still owe 4.99 (since $20 card).
7. Enter the PIN from second game card.
8. Click Pay and purchase takes place.
9. After step 8, you may get an email from ultimate saying you have 1501 ultimate points left and also may see on current popup.
10. Go back to gem package page and select the 9.99 package.
11. Find and click the "5 more choices" tab again.
12. Select the Ultimate game card icon.
13. Select the UNITED STATES flag at upper right and select united states again even though it is already displayed.
14. Click continue.
15. A pay with credit card screen will come up and the top right corner should show your points balance.
16. Simply click on your balance and it will automatically deduct.
17. Go back to gem package page and select the 4.99 package.
18. Again, select 5 more choices.
19. Select ultimate game card pic.
20. You start thinking, "hey I think i've got it now" :)
21. Select United States at upper right corner again.
22. Click continue.
23. Pay with credit card screen appears again, click on your points balance.
24. 499 points auto deducted.
25. Go back to game and verify gems show up at top of screen.
26. Toss out game cards.
27. Feel happy, have fun, forget about these instructions until next time!
Ok I read the previous message and not sure if it worked for others but it didn't work for me I am in Canada not sure if that makes a difference but i follow it but it never pops up the showing my points balance and i've tried using Canada and the United States options to find my points neither turned up.
same here, i have a balance of 1300 points but i can't see it anywhere
right, it was fixed at one point now the problem is continuing yet again, i have 10$ worth of uplay point that i cannot convert to gems. I have tried the above mentioned steps and yeah that didn't work... so if anyone else has a creative solution other than its uplay's problem id be very happy to hear it....
I was also having similar issues with my ultimate game card and using the remaining balance that was converted over to ultimate points-- Once you use your ultimate game card for a gem purchase Ultimatepay will automatically create an account for you and transfers over your remaining balance to them. You will get an auto-response in your e-mail address (the one you used to originally activate the card) go to your email and activate your account for ultimatepay (check your junk/spam folder?) go back to the settlers shop and select your amount of gems like you're making a regular purchase. When the pop-up window for payments comes up look at the very top you will see "choose language / help / login/ your country name" SELECT LOGIN. use your email address that you used earlier for the card..once logged in your points will show and you can proceed to check-out as normal.
I can only find $10.00 Ultimate Game cards at the near by stores. I just bought 10x $10 cards.
I like to buy gems when TSO has a 100% sale, then either buy the $50 gem pack or the $100 gem pack.
I hope I will be able to use all the cards on the $99 pack. If I can't I will loose out on a lot of "gem bonus" from
the sale. Has anyone used multiple codes on the larger Gem packs ?
