Actually ... they announced their weekly maintenance. Just happens that their weekly maintenance fell on Halloween for you ... but this is a weekly occurrence.

They changed the timeframe of the usual weekly maintenance... started it about seven hours early.

I'm complaining about it because of the lack of adequate notice - I was online nine hours before the maintenance started and, at that time, no announcement was posted. The Twitter post is dated less than three hours before the start time (at which time, I was unavoidably offline until now). That's not someone who was offline for days - that's someone who was playing in the morning, went to work thinking everything was normal, and comes home to "maintenance is in progress". WHAT?

yeah if you were on earlier there was plenty of notice, cant expect em to advertise all week for their usual 6hr maitinence

The "Home Page" said 6 hr maintenance....starting at 8 pm eastern..... so we are supposed tohave our game back at 2 am eastern (11 PM pacific) so keep your fingers and toes crossed folks...LMAO

As a reminder, the Settlers Online servers will come down on Wednesday night at 5:00PM PT(8:00PM EST) for a 6 hour maintenance. The game will be playable at 11:01AM (PT). During this time, the website may be down.

And it didn't say any of that until after 9 AM Pacific (noon eastern) TODAY. I think people need to announce things farther in advance.

It's not usually at this time. And I was on from 8-10 Pacific, then had to be offline until now. At that time, no announcement was posted.

All week? No. But previous weekly maintenance periods HAVE been announced with 24 hours notice.

this game is starting to become unplayable. Servers are down all the time, lagging is very annoying, events are becoming garbage, the game is very repetitive. Once you get in high levels there is very little desire to keep playing. I can see in the near future more and more players leaving for more "active lead games" and by the way customer service is horrible. Who in there right minds shuts down the server for maintenance at peak hours???? Also why in the hell in the letter K still blocked on the american server???

cant wait to see a crying women try to take me or my guild on in pvp. My guild has killed a pvp game on our own while your guild seems to abandon you. While you pick up new people to join your trash guild mine has been together for over 3 years. You are what I call a sheep. All talk but never any action, scared to actually do anything on his own

i can log in to the homepage, but zeus doesn't load for play

this is stupid.. maybe it's time for a chargeback on a game that appears to still be in beta test mode

It is strange that when you type the letter "k" on it's own in chat, it gets blocked/censored. I believe even typing "kk" in chat will get censored.

11/8/12 Cannot log in and no maintinence is not scheduled. It appears to try to load but doesn't get off the screen with the pumpkin guy
