Why do some people have the Christmas adventure and others do not? How do we get it?

One quest a day?? I know someone who got a quest, which gave him the Christmas adventure. He now has a quest waiting, which when completes the adventure, will give him presents. That to me sounds like 2 quests for that person just today.

Looks great so far, but I had the same question as windwalker. The announcement notes suggested we'd get the snow buff via mail. I have nothing so far.

WOW, WHAT TERRIBLE TIMEING TYO MOVE!!!! now im missing out on all the xmas fun... and sounds like ill be missing daily quests for the event as well... yep, the soccer even was epic and this one leaves me wanting more... yet, better then the norm...
why can't we just trade the adventure, i know some people who have the adventure but they can't give it to me because they can't trade it. And most of all, why do the quests have to be daily then all we get is like 10 presents a day! ultimately since it ends in like a month 300 presents, thats it! the quests should be more frequent with a higher variety.
Can you get presents at all through explorer treasure hunts?
Yes - I sent my explorers out on medium treasure hunts and they found a few presents
From what I have seen from other players, medium and long treasure hunts will find some presents - the short hunts will not
The Christmas Postcard event quest didn't work for me either. Quest asked to buff at least 5 of your friends buildings using, for example, Aunt Irma's gift baskets. I used 5 gift baskets and none of them showed up on the task bar. Quest is still not finished. Not a great way to start the christmas event.
I sent out 10 explorers on medium hunts and only ONE of them came back with only ONE present. I guess we're gonna have to trade for them, but they don't look like they are going cheap.Quote:

Now that we have snow, and snowmen could there be something like a snowball fight? it freezes production untill you put hot chocolate on it? just an idea. oh and it would be great if the snow men could be upgraded, the higher the bigger,,,,lol

Ive heard of many players getting a Watermill and a couple Buffs in a mail. I guess it was as a Christmas gift from BlueByte. 1 question BB: Am I on your "Naughty" list or something?? Because I didnt receive a thing :( I did get the Adventure but no Watermill or Buffs :(
Am I missing something or doing something wrong?? I thought maybe we had to finish the Adventure first until I spoke with a couple <26 Guildies. They received the Watermill and stuff and arent even able to do the Adventure, lol.
Hope I get my stuff soon guys.

So basically, presents are far, far worse than pumpkins were. It is driving markets prices way too high. Nothing is selling at decent prices right now. I know the prices won't "settle" anytime soon since presents are so rare. There needs to be a better way to get them, really. So far I have found none on treasure searches and only gained 20 via quests. At this rate, I will not be able to get 1 hut if I don't spend all my gc wheeling and dealing on TO for way overpriced presents.
That's different. The quest that gives the adventure and gives present when you complete the adventure are connected. You get the presents just once, don't you?Quote:

Will the deerstalker hut be available to purchase with gems after the Christmas event?
If so, can you give us an estimate on how many gems they will cost? (You probably can't give us a number, but will they be gem-priced like a friary or more like the silo/watermill/school?)

I bet you buffed a guildmate who was not also a friend. The player you buff has to a friend. Guildmates are not necessarily friends...Quote:
